Your nervous system isn’t trying to calm you down.
It’s trying to close a loop.

That reaction you judge yourself for?
That moment you felt “too much”?
That urge to pull away, chase, fix, or shut down?

It’s not random.

It’s a response that started somewhere…
and never got to finish.

So your body keeps bringing it back.
Not to sabotage you.
But to complete it.

And this is where most people get it wrong:

Nervous system regulation isn’t just about being calm.

You can be calm…
and still be incomplete.

True regulation is when your body no longer needs to repeat the pattern.

When the charge is gone.
When the reaction isn’t automatic anymore.
When you can stay with yourself in the moment instead of abandoning yourself inside it.

Calm is nice.
But completion is what sets you free.

What you actually want is to stop feeling like a burden for being real.💅

Those aren’t the same thing, and your body has always known the difference. Even when your brain was busy trying to shrink, something in you was quietly furious about having to.
That QUIET FURY is information. It’s the part of you that remembers what it felt like before you learned to edit.
She’s still in there. And she’s not asking you to become someone new. She’s asking you to come back.

You’re not anxious. You’re strategic.

There’s a part of you that has been running calculations in the background for years. Scanning for what might land wrong, what might make someone go quiet, what might tip the scales from “she’s a lot” to “she’s weird and crazy.”

That kind of hypervigilance doesn’t come from nowhere. It comes from a nervous system that was taught, very early, that love is something you have to earn by being careful enough.
The work isn’t to stop being perceptive. It’s to stop needing to perform for your own safety.

Ask your body one simple question….
what do I actually need RIGHT NOW?

woke up this morning feeling OFF, mainly I was experiencing a headache and fatigue. my first instinct was to go to the gym. After being there about 15 minutes I realized that’s not what I needed.

And instead of pushing through it like I normally would, I paused.

Not what looks productive
Not what burns the most calories
Not what proves something

What feels regulating

And my body said… go outside

So I did
No rush
Just me, walking, breathing, letting my system settle

This is the work most people skip
Learning how to listen instead of override

Because sometimes it’s not about doing more
It’s about doing what actually brings you back

Maybe for you that looks like
5 minutes of breathing
A short walk
Stepping away instead of pushing harder

Your body isn’t the problem
It’s the guide

The shift happens when you stop fighting it
and start listening
