The MOT program has undergone several faculty changes recently, so we would like to take a moment to provide some updates. From left to right:
Alexis Thompson, a graduate of the MOT program (class of 2018) joined us last November! She is doing an incredible job as our new fieldwork coordinator, and she also teaches our adult and geriatric practice courses. Alexis brings some much-needed youthful energy to our team and we absolutely love having an alumna of our program as part of our faculty.
Dr. Corinne Painter has been an integral part of the AHU MOT program for almost four years. She recently transitioned to the MOT Program Director position - we appreciate her willingness to lead our program and we are confident she will do a phenomenal job. She has a gift of connecting with our students, as they often refer to her as their “favorite professor.”
Dr. Christine Moghimi has been enjoying her well-deserved retirement since last month. We wish her well and hope she has a long, healthy, and happy retirement filled with travel memories and her precious time with her beloved grandson, Leo. Thank you, Dr. Moghimi, for 11 years of service to AHU. We miss you already!
Rosa Hill has been our amazing executive assistant for 4 years. We don’t know what we would do without her! She makes the hard tasks look easy, and she’s always there to keep us organized. Rosa also provides a listening ear to our students, and we appreciate the nurture and care she provides to them on a daily basis. Rosa is the epitome of “whole-person care,” and she demonstrates the Christ-centered values our university stands for.
Dr. Chia-Wei Fan continues to serve as our research faculty, publishing multiple articles per year and guiding our students through the research process. She was recently granted membership to the coveted Fulbright Specialist program, so she will be on sabbatical next spring to conduct multiple international research studies… we are so proud to have her as part of our faculty!
Dr. Kim Dudzinski is now serving as Chair of the OT Department. She has been a part of the MOT program since it first began. She started as an adjunct professor, and then worked as the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for 9 years. She then transitioned to a full-time faculty member before taking on the Program Director role in 2024. Dr. Dudzinski is honored to have been there to see all 14 of our cohorts graduate from the AHU MOT program. She is now excited to take on a more active role in supporting the department’s OTA students as well as AHU’s Hope Clinic.
Meredith Morig is the newest member of the AHU MOT program, and she’s already proving herself to be a valued part of the team. Meredith has over 15 years of experience as a pediatric therapist. She is currently a PhD candidate at Nova Southeastern University, and will soon be finished with her dissertation on the job satisfaction of neurodivergent adults. Welcome to the AHU family, Meredith!
Please continue to pray for our department as we go through this vital time of leadership transition! We are very proud of our graduates and the programs they represent, and we will continue to strive towards nurture, excellence, stewardship, and spirituality in the years to come.
