Sharing highlights from Devereux Florida’s recent foster parent appreciation event in Hillsborough County. This “Day at the Park" gathering was a fun filled celebration of family and fellowship! Everyone enjoyed time outdoors with refreshments, games and activities, and resources to support youth in care.

Special thanks to our community partners for the generous support for our foster youth - including sweet cases provided by our friends at FosterLove and their partner organizations, and Bay Hope Church for sending their pop-up bus, which allowed the children to "shop" for toys and clothes.

To wrap up the day, Devereux Regional Administrator Hillary Shaughnessy presented our foster parents with service certificates and gifts as a small token of our gratitude for their incredible dedication and service.

Devereux Florida’s Wraparound Services in Orange County provide direct support for children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges by assigning a dedicated team that will work with the individual’s natural support system and coordinate care with service providers to develop a plan for stabilization and success.

Wraparound Services are made available at no cost to families through our partnership with Wraparound Orange/Orange County Government.

Wraparound services are available for individuals residing anywhere throughout Orange County, FL, ages birth through 21 years old.

Samantha said people who dial United Way’s 211 Information and Referral Line can connect with Florida’s Mobile Crisis Services, which provides on-the-spot mental health support to individuals, from birth to age 30, in Orange, Osceola or Seminole counties.
