Devereux Florida clinicians Allison Freeman and Merlaine Sivels lead the clinical services offered at Devereux Florida’s Orlando Campus. This program provides residential treatment for children and adolescents with significant emotional and behavioral disorders through the Statewide Inpatient Psychiatric Program (SIPP) and the Residential Group Care (RGC) programs available for youth 6-17 years old. Behavioral healthcare and child welfare partners statewide seek their counsel and rely on their expertise while working together to support children who have experienced trauma.

Back-to-School! An exciting time of year, full of excitement and anticipation of what the school year may bring. Once the new clothes are worn and those first assignments are due, symptoms of anxiety can increase and new challenges may present. Two informative sessions were hosted by Devereux clinicians at BHCon this week!

Emily Garten and Andreena Harriman shared their expertise related to specialized treatment for survivors of human trafficking and/or exploitation, while Allison Freeman and Merlaine Sivels shared knowledge and case studies related to the impact of childhood trauma.
