VHLC are providers for both the FES-UA & PEP scholarships through Step Up for Students. Scholarship applications open in February, so keep an eye out!

A new school year is on the horizon. Applications for the 2026–27 school year open Feb. 1, 2026, for the Private School Scholarship, Unique Abilities Scholarship and PEP Scholarship.

Vision therapy for vision symptoms from concussion: New study from the National Eye Institute of the National Institutes of Health found that after vision therapy, nearly 90% of patients in the study were able to see normally, compared to just under 10% in the group that monitored symptoms to determine whether they would go away naturally.

Concussions can leave lasting effects on vision, with nearly half of young patients experiencing disorders that disrupt daily life and delay return to normal activities.

✨ Another Vision Therapy Success Story! ✨
Before starting Vision Therapy, Kathy struggled with deep fears — fear of falling, dropping things, tripping, completing tasks like laundry, grocery shopping, even going to church. These fears kept her from fully participating in daily life.

But today… everything’s different.
After completing her Vision Therapy program, Kathy proudly shares:

“I’m able to do laundry, go grocery shopping, come in the house without my husband, go out to eat and use the bathroom, go to church, and even attend Bible study!”

🌟 Vision Therapy Success Spotlight 🌟
Meet Joanne, who came to us struggling with Visual Snow Syndrome (VSS). She avoided sunlight, kept her house dark, and had stopped driving out of fear. She constantly saw black dots, whether her eyes were open or closed.

After completing our Vision Therapy program, Joanne shared:

“I am now driving. I can open the house up. I can see the black dots, but now see past them. I’ve been given the tools to help me. Thank you!”
