Encore at Avalon Park, is an 80,000 SF Assisted Living and Memory Care Community, with 90 apartments. It is a three story building made up of 6 neighborhoods each with 15 apartments. Sixty apartments are dedicated to memory care and 30 units are focused on assisted living. Each neighborhood has its own entry, dining room, living room, family room, porch, and spa access. Additionally, the community consists of a community outreach room, outdoor plaza, wellness area, and an occupational and physical therapy room. The building is centrally oriented around a secured landscape courtyard composed of fountains, trellis’ and seating all under a canopy of oak trees. To meet the needs of the booming elderly population, development is moving in a new direction. The direction is to residential environments that inspire, soothe, and create connections to family, community and amenities. To fulfill today’s aging population needs and desires it is important to provide choices and create new beginnings. It is about replacing the institutional healthcare model with design that blends the best of hospitality, residential and healthcare design. It’s about developing urban character that combines retail, cultural and civic uses.
