Nutrition Tip of the Day: “Decoding the Food Labels”

Keep a close eye on “trans fat” and “saturated fat”, known as bad fats. Trans fat should be ZERO because there's so much evidence about how harmful they are. Keep saturated fat below 7% of your total calories. Example, the average women eating 1700 calories/day, 7% of 1700 is 119 calories or 13 grams of saturated fat per day.

Ms. Burt had battled with weight since giving birth to her youngest child at the age of 33.
