Whipping Childhood Cancer

Whipping Childhood Cancer Challenging the world to stand with us and "Whip" Childhood Cancer!! a 501(c)3 non-profit organization Whipping Childhood Cancer was founded in September 2014.

We are a non-profit Organization recognized as exempt under Section 501(c)(3). Jenny Mena Silviano (founder) and Candice Genua (co-founder) met while their children were battling childhood cancer. They always knew they wanted to do something to advocate and be the voice for their children and all the children battling cancer. The movement and challenge was such a success that the decision was m

ade to continue to bring awareness but more importantly to raise funds for much needed underfunded childhood cancer research. Our Organization is formed by Mothers of children battling some form of childhood cancer, We are ready to "whip childhood cancer out of the globe!"

In some cases, families may qualify for a second travel grant, depending on their financial situation and how often they need to make hospital trips. Every journey is different, and we’re here to help lighten the load when it’s needed most.

Each band tells a story…
Of strength, survival, pain, and perseverance.
This wall holds over a decade of hospital visits and stays for a child bravely fighting cancer. Ten years of scans, pokes, chemo, hope, fear, and healing — all wrapped around tiny wrists that carried more courage than most can imagine.

These aren’t just hospital bands — they’re proof of battles fought and milestones reached.
Here’s to the warriors, the families, and every day that healing wins. 💛🎗️

Two more families. Two more chances to bring light during a difficult time.
Thanks to our continued partnership with the Big Nova Foundation, we were able to send out two more grant packets today. Each one represents hope, relief, and the power of community coming together to fight childhood cancer.

This is what impact looks like—one family at a time.

“Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair…
Oh my, oh why… I can’t, the chemo took it away.”

These were the magical words of KK as she looked at herself in the mirror, playing make-believe with a golden ribbon crown and a heart full of imagination. Chemotherapy may have taken her hair, but it never touched her spirit.

KK didn’t need long locks to feel like a princess—she had courage, creativity, and a fish instead of a chameleon.
Bald is beautiful.
Bravery looks like this.
Love her. Love her strength. Love her imagination.

As a parent of a childhood cancer survivor, I understand the overwhelming uncertainty that comes with the journey. Whipping Childhood Cancer helps ease some of that burden by offering financial support through our travel grant program—helping families get to and from treatment. It’s one less worry during a tough time, bringing smiles to kids, peace of mind to parents, and a little relief in the middle of the storm.
