March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month
Current guidelines recommend that average-risk individuals begin screening at age 45. However, you may need earlier screening if you have:
A family history of colorectal cancer or polyps
A personal history of inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis)
Certain genetic syndromes
At Orlando Gastroenterology, P.A., we tailor screening recommendations based on your individual risk profile to ensure optimal prevention.
