Social Work Day is to highlight the role of social workers in promoting social justice, human rights, and sustainable communities.

The theme for the year of 2026 is inspired by the African philosophy of "Harambee" meaning "pulling together." The theme emphasizes repairing social fractures, rebuilding trust, and developing inclusive, sustainable communities.

Celebrate today by showing appreciation, sending thank-you notes or cards to social workers, attending webinars, local events, and online campaigns organized by Social Workers. Lastly, share information about the impact social workers have on social justice and mental health.💙🌐🧠

Did you know that some stress can be beneficial?Everyone has stress. Stress helps us to respond to the many changes that happen in life. However, too much stress can cause harm to our health and our relationships.

Today, take a moment to reflect on ways to cope when feeling stressed. You may decide to go for a walk, take some deep breathes, get some exercise, or have a relaxing bath.
