There was a time not long ago when everything I had built felt like it was slipping through my fingers. The title. The reputation. The relationships. I had poured everything into being the best: the best surgeon, the best leader, the best version of myself for everyone else. And then I gave it up.
But here’s what I’ve learned: when the noise and empty distractions fade, and you’re left with just yourself and your instincts, your grit, your truth, well, that’s when the magic happens. That’s when you stop chasing approval and start building something that actually reflects who you are. If you haven’t lived free, I suggest you try it.
I trust my gut. Not clichéd and empty kind of way but in a deep, unshakable, burn-it-all-down-and-start-again because you know what you’re capable kind of way. I don’t tiptoe through big life decisions. I leap. Because when something feels off, it always is. And when something feels right, I chase it with everything I have. All the while, you remain regal and a little scary not at all afraid of your own wild (IYKYK). 🐆
BodyByBariatrics was born in a moment of forced stillness during the gift of time by the unlikely giver. And in that time, I chose to build, not break. To obsess, to design, to create a new space for people like me who are bold, underestimated, driven by purpose. I spent days agonizing over the perfect pink ( ), fonts that felt strong but feminine, a name that would make sense in the algorithm and the soul.
I love pink. I love grit. I love people who want to change their lives and need someone who sees their potential even before they do. And I love that I never gave up on myself even when it would’ve been easier to quietly fade away or, worse, conform.
I’m funny, I’m real, I’m relentless. I don’t wait for permission. I move.
