A recent study published in Circulation analyzed data from nearly 90,000 participants and found that “weekend warriors”—individuals who complete the recommended 150 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous activity in one or two days—experience similar health benefits as those who exercise regularly throughout the week. Both groups showed a lower risk of 264 medical conditions, including hypertension, diabetes, and obesity, compared to inactive individuals. This suggests that the total volume of activity is more crucial than the frequency of exercise sessions, offering flexibility for those with busy schedules.
