🎩☕ Alice in Wonderland Tea Party ☕🎩

We had an Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter’s tea party with our residents, and it was amazing. Tea cups, laughs, a little silliness, and plenty of fun made it feel like we all fell right down the rabbit hole. 😄

The reason for the celebration? Lewis Carroll — the pen name of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson — was born on January 27, 1832, in Daresbury, Cheshire, England. He’s the author behind Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass.

A little literature, a lot of tea, and even more smiles. Honestly, a perfectly mad afternoon. ❤️🎩

🐧❄️ National Penguin Awareness Day ❄️🐧

January 20th was National Penguin Awareness Day, and we had so much fun celebrating. We played Baby Penguin Racing (congrats to our winners, Janet and Mary!), tried Pengoloo — which somehow ended in a tie every single game — and even had two penguins waddling around keeping everyone entertained. 😄

We also spent time laughing along to the Penguins of Madagascar, which never gets old. 🐧😂

A few fun penguin facts we shared along the way:
• There are 18 unique species of penguins.
• They all live in the Southern Hemisphere, and not just in Antarctica.
• Many penguin species are threatened, with over half considered vulnerable or endangered.

Lots of laughs, learning, and penguin-themed fun all around. ❤️🐧

🐉🎬 How to Appreciate a Dragon Day 🎬🐉

January 16 was How to Appreciate a Dragon Day, and we leaned all the way in. We had a few “dragons” flying around, painted some of our own, and couldn’t agree on just one dragon movie… so we watched How to Train Your Dragon and Pete’s Dragon throughout the day. 😄🎨

We also shared a couple of fun dragon facts:
• In Western cultures, dragons are often seen as symbols of evil or chaos, while in Eastern cultures they represent power, luck, and rain. 🐲
• Jade dragon carvings found in Inner Mongolia date back to 4500–3000 BCE… long before dragons ever showed up in writing. 🤯

Paint, movies, facts, and lots of laughs made this a surprisingly epic day. 🐉✨
