My first born is SEVEN today! Audrey is the reason why I am so passionate about helping other families in the postpartum period.

Audrey has taught me so much about the importance of filling up my cup and prioritizing my nutrition so I can be more energized and present for her and the family.

After having her, I definitely did not take care of myself; I had low energy, I felt nutrient depleted, and I realized something had to change.

She also took me for a ride with breastfeeding with cracked ni***es, vasospasm and excruciating pain, which all improved with body work, suck training and her posterior tongue tie release and we nursed for 3.5yrs 😅

Because of our journey, I’m so passionate about helping families navigate their postpartum and breastfeeding journeys too.

I can’t believe how fast time has gone by. She is the best big sister to her 3 wild brothers and I love having my little princess.

Happy birthday Audrey! Thank you for choosing me to be your mama- I love you so much and have learned so much from you 💗

Hormones and hormonal imbalances seem to be big buzz words lately.

But hormones are just messengers from the brain, to that particular organ — they respond to what’s happening upstream.

Hormones include s*x hormones, thyroid hormones, blood sugar hormones, hunger hormones, sleep hormones etc etc.

In lactation, the biggest things I see affecting the hormones responsible for milk supply are:
• blood sugar instability
• nutrient depletion (big one)
• poor caloric intake
• stress + sleep deprivation
• gut issues that affect nutrient absorption

This doesn’t mean your body is broken.
It means your body is asking for support.

When we support the foundations, milk supply, your mood, sleep and overall health improves.

We’re seeing this a lot with “perimenopausal symptoms” - don’t blame your hormones, let’s look at the body overall and support your hormones!

Comment support and let’s chat about how to better support you and your symptoms so you can FEEL GOOD!

This NY Times article really made me upset. We’re not meant to be “equal”.

If resentment is building in a marriage, having a partner give a bottle might feel like a temporary fix — but there’s usually something deeper going on. Articles like this don’t solve that. They often fuel the resentment instead of addressing the root issue.

Moms are often the default parent, we carry a lot. There is already so much on our plates.

But breastfeeding shouldn’t automatically be the first thing to go or the first thing to delegate.

You can protect breastfeeding and delegate other tasks.
You can breastfeed your baby and ask for real support from your partner.

Breastfeeding IS the best nutrition for your baby and helps them for a lifetime. There’s a reason all major health organizations encourage breastfeeding.

Breastmilk contains live organisms, antibodies, growth hormones, enzymes, and there are benefits for mom too - decrease risk of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, diabetes etc.

Our whole society is wrapped around “convenience” - drive through, fast food, quick supplements to address underlying issues…convenience is comfortable…but that doesn’t mean it’s necessarily best.

this is the post I would’ve needed as a first-time mom, when I was in the thick of breastfeeding, exhausted, overwhelmed, and seriously considering throwing in the towel.

And to be very clear: formula exists for a reason. I recommend it to clients when it’s needed, and no mother should be shamed for using it.

But messaging that undermines or belittles breastfeeding, especially under the guise of protecting marriages or mental health — needs to stop.

Curious how others felt reading that article 😰

If you’re wanting to participate in the with but not sure how to go about it, you’ll find your milk bank near you and fill out a prescreening questionnaire then they’ll contact you about moving forward.

This challenge is a call to action to encourage breastfeeding moms to donate breastmilk and help save infant lives.

By donating your milk, you’re joining a growing movement of kindness, compassion and empowerment. Donors will receive a $250 gift card as a thank you for their time and effort. This simple yet profound act of generosity can have a life-changing impact on infants in need of nourishment. Together we can make a difference 1 ounce at a time.

All you have to do is donate your breastmilk to a milk bank and show receipt and ConceiveAbilities will send you $250 as a thank you! There is a huge need for more donor breast milk, which is why they are incentivizing people to donate!

Comment “milkdonation” and I’ll send you more information on how to get started. If you can’t donate your milk, I’d love it if you passed the word so we can get more mom’s making $250 while helping a cause.

Have you been a donor or recipient of breastmilk?

51+ (and counting) babies have been hospitalized across the country due to a botulism outbreak directly tied to Formula.

has failed multiple FDA inspections - their facilities are not sanitary and they prioritize profits over babies.

There has been a national recall by the FDA but still ByHeart influencers ads are *still* running!!! That should concern all of us.

Many new moms who may not know about this outbreak, may still stumble across these ads and choose this brand without knowing the potential risks.

Formula *marketing* isn’t supportive—it’s strategically timed and profit-driven. They are using 70% of their budget into digital marketing!!

Postpartum moms are often targeted at their most vulnerable: exhausted, hormonal, still healing, and still learning their baby and their own body.

We are asking .nossel
To take these ads down!

To be very clear: this is NOT anti-formula.
Families need it. Families choose it.
This is about advertising practices, not feeding choices.
