Welcome baby Benjamin 🤍
The strength that this mama showed during her birth was absolutely admirable.
With a deployed husband, nothing is easy let alone giving birth to your baby. But she remained strong for her self and her baby. This is the raw of being a military wife and giving birth, talking on the phone with her husband while having major surgery. Thank you for letting me be apart of your birth and for reminding me why I do what I do. Thanks to all who serve in the military and to their families at home holding down the fort 🤍 congrats to the Cuadrado family! Benjamin is a beautiful boy!

W H A T I S A D O U L A?
The most asked question I get. And I will forever love this question.
Doula is from the Ancient Greek and means “a women who serves”
A doula is a trained and experience professional who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to a mother (and her birth partner if she has one) before, during, and just after birth✨
The 3 biggest things you get from your doula is:
-You get to AVOID google, ask your doula!!
-Your emotions and fears are valid
-Help with facilitating the birth of your dreams
There is evidence base information on the benefits of having a doula::
25% decrease in the risk of cesarean
8% increase in the likelihood of a spontaneous vaginal birth
10% decrease in the use of any medications for pain relief.
31% decrease in the risk of being dissatisfied with the birth experience.
‼️A doula is NOT A MIDWIFE, a doula is not and does not replace a health care provider such as OBs and Midwife’s.

Our Visiting Nurse is back from maternity leave and is available for home visits, virtual appointments and call/texts! She can help with ordering a breastpump, pregnancy/delivery questions, postpartum and newborn care education and breastfeeding help!
