In August of 2022, I embarked on a transformative 24-month Yoga Therapy training program within the Kundalini Yoga tradition. After thorough research into various programs and their curriculums, I chose the Guru Ram Das Center for Medicine and Humanology's offering due to its comprehensive scope and certification by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT).
Throughout this intensive program, I not only acquired invaluable tools rooted in Kundalini Yoga to aid individuals in managing diverse health conditions and empowering them to take more control over their well-being, but I also embarked on a profound journey of personal growth and transformation. This journey enabled me to cultivate a deeper relationship with both myself and the world around me.
The curriculum of the training delved deeply into the therapeutic applications of Kundalini Yoga, equipping me with specialized knowledge and techniques to support individuals in reducing symptoms and fostering holistic healing. I gained a nuanced understanding of how yoga can be tailored to address specific health challenges, including physical ailments, mental health concerns, and emotional imbalances.
Moreover, the experiential aspect of the training facilitated my own inner exploration and growth. I discovered new layers of self-awareness and resilience, honing my ability to navigate life's challenges with grace and compassion. This personal evolution has not only enriched my professional practice but has also enhanced my overall well-being and outlook on life.
I am filled with gratitude to the Guru Ram Das Center for the profound impact their training has had on my life; the teachers: Shanti Shanti Kaur Khalsa, PhD, C-IAYT; Dr. Hari Kirin Kaur Khalsa, MD, C-IAYT; Atma Jot Kaur Güdel, C-IAYT and Dr. Crystal Frazer, PT, NBCHWC, C-IAYT. They were not only highly knowledgeable but also deeply committed to the students’ growth and understanding and created a supportive learning environment that made the experience both enriching and empowering. And last but not least my heartfelt gratitude to the clients who participated in my training from whom I learned invaluable lessons.
Today, I received my diploma and I am eager to integrate this deepened knowledge and personal experience into my work, continuing to empower individuals on their paths to healing and self-discovery through the transformative power of yoga therapy.
