At Command Medical Products, we’re proud to celebrate International Women’s Day as a time to recognize and honor the incredible women who contribute to our success every day.

Across our organization women play a vital role in shaping who we are from manufacturing and operations to leadership, innovation, and beyond.
Their expertise, dedication, and drive fuel our progress to strengthen our impact in the medical device industry.

One of the most notable women in blood science, Dr. Winifred Mayer Ashby (1879-1975) transformed transfusion medicine and
advanced opportunities for women in research. At Mayo Clinic, she developed the Ashby Technique and was the first to determine that
human red blood cells live about 100 days groundbreaking work that improved anticoagulant use and blood storage practices still benefiting patients today.

Today, we celebrate the talent, resilience, and guidance of the women at Command Medical Products.

During Black History Month Command Medical Products LLC honors Dr. Charles Richard Drew, the “Father of the Blood Bank” who changed transfusion medicine through pioneering blood plasma preservation.

In 1939, Dr. Drew developed methods to preserve and reconstitute blood plasma, laying the foundation for blood banks and saving countless American soldiers during World War II and future conflicts.

As Dr. Drew said, “Excellence of performance will transcend artificial barriers created by man.” His legacy challenges healthcare professionals to pursue innovation, access, and excellence in care for every patient.
