The Gardens had a special guest just in time for Easter, who came and gave everyone hugs and danced to the bunny hop with Tom Nickels' organ tunes. Residents really enjoyed their brunch of prime rib and ham with sides, and yummy carrot cake and a silk strawberry cake. They were so happy to see the bunny come and visit.

The Easter Bunny made a special visit to The Watermark at Oro Valley just in time for Easter Brunch. The Bunny and a few residents were hopping to the tunes from Peter Kron, which were so entertaining. Chef Salwa made a wonderful menu: Prime rib, Ham, Scalloped potatoes, veggies, and a variety of scrumptious desserts. Residents and guests were greeted with fresh mimosas and enjoyed the bunny so much; it was an awesome afternoon.

Watermark at Oro Valley residents created beautiful wood crosses. A variety of pearls, laces and ribbons were used to make the crosses. Residents got to make a couple different designs to give to their neighbors and some hanged them on their walkers. They were happy to be able to finish just in time for Easter Sunday. Residents said they enjoyed making adorable creations with Alma during craft class .

Watermark at Oro Valley took an adventure tour to Therapeutic Ranch for Animals Trak. Residents got to visit all the animals at the ranch, they got to pet the pigs and feed the ponies, and visited with goats. Trak does amazing things for children, and seniors, and the animals. They are very therapeutic.

It highlights the friendship between Wanda and Peggy at our sister community, Sonrisa Senior Living. What started with a simple invitation to play bridge quickly turned into daily check-ins, shared activities, and a “best friend for life.”

Stories like this remind us so much of the friendships we see blooming right here at our senior living community. 💛

Watermark at Oro valley has a very special connection with the therapeutic animals from horses and smiles. Residents love when their furry friends come and visit, they love petting the pony all dressed in holiday attire; he was wearing St. Patrick's colors. The bunnies were especially warm and cuddly, which makes it even more special to hug and hold. The residents truly enjoy pet therapy day!

Watermark at Oro Valley had a wonderful St. Patrick's day celebration. Residents got to enjoy peppermint milkshakes, Irish rolls, pretzels with beer cheese, and we can't forget green beer, green wine, green margaritas, and they were really happy dancing to the musical tunes of Chris Arpad and enjoying the decorations and chocolate gold coins all over the building. Residents enjoyed a traditional Irish dinner with piano music, making it a wonderful Irish day.

Watermark at Oro Valley was honored to celebrate Alice Robinson's 101st birthday. Alice had told us she wanted a marbled cake with custard, and her special turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, and cranberry sauce with LOTS of gravy for dinner. Well, we made her dream come true, especially with her favorite music, the McCann sisters singing happy birthday. Alice got interviewed by KGUN 9 News, which made it even more special.

We were honored to participate in the annual Empty Soup Bowls event hosted by the Interfaith Church. Chef Salwa made creamy potato corn chowder for the event, and it was fantastic; we ran out before anyone else. We brought back pots, pamphlets, and our bragging rights for the best soup to share with our residents.
