Watermark at Oro Valley celebrated Hispanic month by going to eat at Guillermo's Double L Restaurant. Residents from The Inn and The Gardens wanted to try authentic Mexican cuisine, and they enjoyed it so much: food chimichangas, tacos, mole chicken, totopo salad, tostadas, beans, rice, and agua frescas. So refreshing. They can't wait to go back.

Watermark at Oro Valley enjoying their assisted living week. Friday was wacky sock day, Jorge our ED surprised us with a great cook out with burgers, hotdogs, and potato salad. Jorge did all the grilling himself! Which made it more special. It was delicious.

The Gardens at Watermark at Oro Valley commemorated 9/11 by delivering thank you coolers full of yummy snacks to the Oro Valley police department. They wanted to thank them for everything they do for our community. They got to meet the therapy service dog Ari that is used for crisis victims out in the field; she is so obedient. Overall, it was such a meaningful day.

Watermark at Oro Valley residents are having a blast celebrating assisted living week. Today was wear your favorite Jersey day, and since fall is in the air we had dipped caramel apples with all sorts of topping from chocolate, cookies, sprinkles, almonds, coconut. They had so much fun making their treats, and especially eating them.

Watermark at Oro Valley held monthly chefs' chat with Chef Salwa. This one was exciting; she taught the residents the art of folding Rangoons. Chef showed us three different folding techniques. Even though some of them came out looking like boats, they were crispy and delicious. Thank you, Chef Salwa, for making our day great.

The Watermark at Oro Valley had an extraordinary Watermark University with one of our residents Kilja Sulouff & her niece Alexis. They taught us how to make the art of classic Kimbap, we saw how much work it takes to prepare the ingredients and how precise it is to cut everything. Mrs. Kilja made it so much fun rolling up the seaweed paper with all the goodies inside, and the taste was divine, especially the flavors were so fresh.

Watermark at Oro Valley took a road trip for lunch today and decided to stop at Mojo Cuban Kitchen and Rum Bar for lunch to celebrate national Cuban Sandwich day. The resident loved the old-fashioned wall decor of La Havana, which made it so much more special. Plus, the food was absolutely scrumptious! We had Cuban lechon, mojo chicken, burger frita sandwiches, sides of pineapple coconut rice, tostones maduros, and plantain chips. So yummy! It was a wonderful trip.

The Gardens love to keep busy trying new and creative crafts. Residents tried insta magic portraits; they had a blast brushing with watercolors and seeing all the colors pop out. Our nayas enjoy helping our residents create.
