What a fun time we had with Rob from Vital Caring. Thank you for coming in and spending time with our residents. We are practicing on our basketball skills with our new “Pop a shot” so we will be ready next month when you come in for a rematch 😬

We love trying out new places. This month we went to Licks in Catalina, Arizona. It did not disappoint one bit! From milkshakes, cones, banana splits, sundaes, or just a scoop of their vegan ice cream. They have many choices of ice cream and toppings. The customer service was also top notch. They talked to each resident as they ordered, gave suggestions, offered samples, and were so accommodating for our large group. Everything was great from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. We will definitely be going back. 🙂

Where should we go for our next outing? Any suggestions we can tell our residents about and decide where to go for the month of June or July?

🍔 Today for lunch we went on an outing to Cold Beer and Cheeseburgers. The service and food was excellent. The residents were super excited that our Executive Director Joe and Nurse Tia went to join them. Next up the residents want either Sushi, Italian, or a Chicken place. Any suggestions of some restaurants we should try?

🍪 Thank you Taya (one of our caregivers) for doing a baking demonstration for our residents. She made chocolate chip cookies from scratch. They were so delicious that everyone had seconds. From that big ball of cookie dough she made 97 cookies! If you ever want some cookies made, Taya makes them the best! 🍪

Happy 84th Birthday Eddie! 🎉 If you been to our community you know Eddie for sure! He loves people and loves to make people smile and happy anyway he can. He is always so uplifting, encouraging, thankful, helpful, and positive. His motto he lives by is “If I can help someone out along the way, then my life will not be in vain.” He surely lives by that! It is a pleasure having you with us at Catalina Springs Memory Care and celebrating you today! He said he will never forget this day as long as his memory lets him remember it 🥹❤️

Tomorrow at 2:30 pm we will be celebrating all our residents and staff who have birthdays in May. We hope to see you there. 🎉
