I'm passionate about eating clean and using natural, chemical free products on my body and in my home. Years ago, I started trying different natural deodorants, in an attempt to avoid the aluminum and chemicals in commercial antiperspirants. My quest didn't turn out so well. Nothing seemed to truly keep the stink away for long. I'm not an overly smelly person, but we all have bacteria that mixes with the sweat in our pits, which produces that lovely odor we're all so fond of.
Your skin is a living organ, wrapping up the package that is your body. It can and does absorb whatever we put on it to some extent!
Sweating is good; it's the body's natural process of cooling us and letting toxins escape too. If you've used antiperspirants for years (most people think of antiperspirants and deodorants as the same thing, but they aren't), probably since puberty, think about how long your pores have been gunked up and not allowed to properly release stuff that your body would like to release! And also think about all the chemicals and crud that your skin has absorbed. Deodorants will not prevent sweating, but should keep the bacteria at bay, thereby PREVENTING odor, not just masking it. Keep this in mind during your own personal quest.
My product, Tenacious! Sun Burst Fresh Deodorant, is made with only seven ingredients from nature. It really does work to prevent odor. Customers find it to be effective all day and several find it to be effective for 24 full hours or MORE! It has a light scent, only from organic sweet orange essential oil. The sunny scent is so light that you will not smell it once applied. Our other flavor, Sun Burst Fresh No BS is free of baking soda, and is for those who are super sensitive to this ingredient.
