Maine Mood Lab Welcome to the Maine Mood Lab! We are currently looking for paid research volunteers to help us study how we can reduce risk for depression.

Welcome to Maine Mood Disorders Lab at the University of Maine! Depression is a serious and debilitating mental health problem that affects approximately 350 million people. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), depression is the leading cause of global disease burden. Research at the Maine Mood Disorders Lab is devoted to improving our understanding of the factors that confer vulnerability to depression in adults.

Lab manager, Meaghan Delcourt has accepted a postbaccalaureate research position in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh. Meaghan will work on the Pittsburgh Girls Study (PGS) under the direction of Dr. Hipwell. The study is a large longitudinal research study funded by the National Institutes of Health.
