Step inside (and stay in) a piece of Northwoods history… 🐺🌲

Grey Wolf Lodge’s iconic 1939 barn is more than just a building — it’s a masterpiece of Gothic-arch architecture. Its gracefully curved rafters and soaring ceilings create a spacious, open interior unlike anything else in the area. Designed for strength and longevity, this barn has stood the test of time, moving to its current home in 1996 when The Kemkes transformed it into the heart of Grey Wolf Lodge.

Every beam, every curve, every knot tells a story. The arch design isn’t just beautiful; it creates a space that feels both grand and welcoming, perfect for making memories.

And now, for the first time, guests will be able to sleep under these historic beams. The Wolf Den, a three-bedroom, two-bath apartment in the barn, will be a unique rental starting in the 2026 season. Stay tuned this winter for photos and details!

🌲 Big News from Grey Wolf Lodge! 🌲

We’re excited to introduce ourselves as the new owners of Grey Wolf Lodge - Lara and Ross Coyer! We’re thrilled to continue the long-standing traditions of this beautiful Northwoods getaway while bringing new energy, fresh ideas and 5th generation experience along the way.

A special thanks to John, Carol, and Jacob for their part in continuing the Grey Wolf Lodge story. We’re excited to build on that foundation and welcome guests old and new.

This fine young man and his family rescued a fawn swimming in the middle of the lake. It had been chased by a dog and started to swim. We brought it back to shore, and it is now reunited with its mother.
