Scouts BSA Troop 1197 A special-needs Troop for young men and women ages 11 and up, including those beyond the age of regular eligibility (18+).

The Troop is chartered by the Offering Alternative Therapy with Smiles (OATS) riding stables in Ortonville, MI.

We are proud to be home to Scouts BSA Troop 1197, which is dedicated to bringing the values of scouting to individuals with special needs. Scouts with special needs will have their entire lifetime to earn the rank of Eagle Scout.
