We wish to thank you for patronage over the past 3 1/2 years. The Hook Spa & Salon and this community has held a special place in our hearts. It is unfortunate that we must close our doors, but we would like for you to know how much we appreciate your business and support.

An update on Emily: She is still fighting with everything she has, but as many things in life sometimes they don't go to plan. Emily finished her Chemo in November and her Radiation in December. But when they were doing the procedure to start her direct Radiation they found a new mass. The original mass in her cervical wall had responded very well to treatment so it was a mystery as to why this new mass was where it was at. After a biopsy it was discovered that it was a different type of carcinoma all together called Clear Cell Carcinoma. It is rare and not a lot is known about it but it is extremely resistant to Chemo and radiation. The best course of action for her to take was to do a full radical abdominal hysterectomy. This gets complicated because of the radiation she had already had to her pelvic region. Emily had her surgery on February 6th and it went very well. The pathology from her surgery did show active clear cell starting to grow in other areas but all those areas were removed during the hysterectomy. She'll be out 8 weeks while she heals and the Doctors decide the next step in her treatment plan.

Due to the possibility of snow and bad weather we are closing the Salon on Wednesday 01/25/23. Ashley will be contacting clients to move appointments. We take our safety and yours very seriously.
