Oktoberfest 2025! For lunch, residents enjoyed a hearty German spread of sausage, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, and apple kuchen. Later in the afternoon, the fun continued with lively music by Kevin and Marlene Gwost and Jim Bartusek, while everyone snacked on soft pretzels, cheese, and sipped on some beer.

October is National Physical Therapy Month!

The profession of Physical Therapy (PT) can be traced back to 3000 B.C. in Ancient China, Greece, and Rome - where techniques such as massage, hydrotherapy, and exercise were utilized.

Modern PT emerged in response to the Polio epidemics (late 1800s-early 1900s) and after WW1 when thousands of soldiers were in need of rehab. At that time, these professionals were called "Reconstruction Aides" in the United States.

Employee of the Month Spotlight!

Our October Employee of the Month is Rachael Kruzel!

Rachael has been a Resident Assistant with Galeon for just shy of two years. Always friendly and willing to help out Rachael has become a favorite amongst the residents that she takes care of. She is very efficient and thorough in the work that she does in both BridgeWell and Westview and also helps to guide new staff through the orientation process.

October is Physical Therapy Month, so we'll be doing a few posts to highlight PT!

Kyle Meyer, SPT is a student pursuing his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Minnesota! He is working alongside Joseph Gerhartz, DPT until October 10. He has been providing great insight with assisting in patient care in both our outpatient clinic and the skilled nursing facility. We are very blessed to have him with our therapy team in Osakis!"
