To those of you who haven't heard, Armani's K-State vets have sent her home to live out her last days. She has been given 3-5 months to live, but as aggressive as her cancer has been, they say it will be less than that. Since there were multiple nodules in her lungs, they will not do surgery. Removal of the lump on her shoulder was nixed as it would impede her quality of life.

Yeah, Armani finally ate tonight!!! Thank you Carole, from The Mosby Foundation, for telling me some recipes to try. This will help give her the energy and strength she'll need while we fight the demons this summer!!!

At the K-State vet clinic this week, we have discovered that besides the cancer on Armani's back, they say she also has it on her left shoulder and in her lungs. We will be going sometime next week back to Manhattan for a CT scan. Keep Armani is your prayers.

Armani is my 3 year old Golden Retriever who works with students as a professional therapy dog. She was just diagnosed a few days ago with a soft tissue sarcoma .... cancer. The treatment suggested is radiation therapy at K-State Veterinary College in Manhattan, KS, and is expected to run around $4000.
