Purchase your ambulance subscription online! Reminders were emailed out early last week. You are welcome to purchase online if this is easier! Stay covered, don't wait! We truly appreciate all your support.

Your support aids us in continuing to provide exceptional care to our community. Insurance companies only pay a percentage of the billed services, and this doesn’t cover the cost of running our business. Thank you to Marty’s Bingo Supply. A nice gesture during the frigid temperatures.

We would like to thank Marty’s Bingo Supply for the donation of HOTHANDS. These will come in handy with all the emergency calls in these frigid temperatures! We have placed these on all our fire units and both ambulances.

Mountain Top Fire Company

Our annual ambulance subscription drive is underway for 2026. We do third party billing. This means, when you are transported to the hospital by our ambulance, we will bill your health insurance provider for reimbursement. Most insurance companies only pay a percentage of the bill and will leave you with a great amount of out-of-pocket expense. By purchasing a membership, we will "write-off" any monies not paid by your insurance company in the event you need our EMS services. The bill is considered paid in full. Price for the membership is $75 for family (everyone who resides in your household), $50 for single, and $150 for a business (covers employees while only at the business). If you do not receive yours in the mail, please send us a message and we will mail one to you.

If you live in Sandy Ridge, Retort, Twigg Settlement, Osceola Mills, Newtown, Edendale, Ernestville, Spike Island, Coal Run, Stumptown, Frenchtown, Drane, Ashland, Osceola Mills part of Parsonville, Osceola Mills side of Morgan Run, Osceola Mills side of Sanborn, Phoenix Road, Dale Road, Rushton Road, you are within the primary Ambulance coverage area of Mountain Top. What this means is, we will be the Ambulance that arrives and transports you to the hospital in the event of an emergency UNLESS we are already on an emergency call. What this also means is you should purchase an ambulance membership from our company as we are your primary Ambulance Service.

In addition, in the event you have fallen, are not injured and cannot get up (lift assist only) and patient refusals, the fee for non-subscribers is $150 and the fee for subscribers is $75. These are considered non-billable to the insurance companies so the patient is responsible for payment.

By purchasing a subscription you are financially protecting yourself and/or your family. This is also our ambulance service biggest fund drive which maintains our service to have the necessary up to date life saving equipment needed to protect our community when needed. Please consider purchasing a subscription.

If you have questions, concerns, and/or suggestions please do not hesitate to give us a call at 814-339-7410 or message this page.

As always, thank you for your continued support!

Winter Storm Fern Report

We kept busy during the winter storm with 5 medical related emergency calls with 4 being handled from the Osceola Mills station and 1 being handled by the Sandy Ridge station. There were no weather related calls for our service. We would like to express our gratitude to Columbia Volunteer Fire Company, Osceola Mills Borough and PENNDOT for their assistance on a couple calls. We are fortunate to have a great working relationship with these partners.

We would like to remind everyone to please shovel your walks and clear your driveways. This will help emergency responders immensely with getting to you or a loved one in a timely manner in the event of an emergency.

As we enter the new year, our annual subscription drive for 2026 has taken effect. We encourage all eligible individuals and businesses to participate by submitting their membership applications. Our ambulance service offers third-party billing, where we directly bill your health insurance provider for reimbursement in the event of transportation to a hospital. However, insurance companies often cover only a percentage of the bill, leaving you with significant out-of-pocket expenses. Our membership program alleviates this burden by covering any remaining balance not paid by your insurance company, effectively writing off any outstanding amounts. The annual membership fees are structured as follows: $75 for family coverage (encompassing all household members), $50 for individual coverage, and $150 for business coverage (covering employees while on business premises). If you have misplaced your membership application, please notify us, and we will promptly mail a replacement.

You can now also purchase online if you choose to do so at the following link: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/mountain-top-fire-co-ambulance-subscription-drive
