BeautyCounter™ is a line of personal and beauty products that have banned the use of toxic ingredients that have been linked to cancer, learning disabilities and other health issues, that are commonly found in other common personal and beauty products. Why I joined BeautyCounter™? Several reasons… this is my story…

My husband has struggled with skin cancer (Basal Cell Carcinoma) most of his adult life. In 2014, after surgery to remove a growth (Squamous Cell Carcinoma) from his left temple (2nd time), he spent a good share of that summer traveling back and forth from radiation therapy, instead of “fishing” at the lake. I strongly believe that in addition to too much exposure to the sun in his working years (he’s retired ), the ingredients in his personal use products (hand & body lotions, sunscreen, shaving creams, etc.) partially contributed to this ongoing problem. We are also raising our oldest grandchild (preteen going on 18). She has ADD, ADHD, and PTSS; which are complicated by anger, anxiety and social issues. These conditions are also complicated by the chemicals in our food, and personal and beauty products. Because of this, we recently made a conscience effort to understand the food we put in our bodies; and the health and beauty products we use on them. Are we perfect with our choices… No, but we are working on it.

So sorry to all of my loyal and amazing Beautycounter clients and members, for their taking so long to update you!
In the last couple of weeks, Beautycounter shared with its Brand Advocates that Beautycounter will not be re-opening this year as hoped. Originally it was supposed to be a month, then six, now we have learned that when they do return, it will be sometime in 2025, without our teams and with a different business model… they’re also reevaluating the product assortment.
So to quickly summarize, the small business I built starting in June of 2016 is gone…and my time with a brand has officially come to a close.
That being said, please know, I’m moving on with nothing but love, and gratitude. I’ll forever be thankful for the knowledge, immeasurable growth, flexibility, and of course the community. I’m in awe of all Beautycounter accomplished to make people aware of what's in their bath and beauty products and fight to change laws that help to protect us.
While this door has closed, my passion for sharing clean living and safer skincare will always be a priority.
It took me a while to find a brand I wanted to share… and I’m happy to report that I have partnered with L'Bri Pure & Natural. I have been using their products for several weeks. In the first week alone I noticed wonderful improvements in my skin and hair. I’m excited to share more about this company and community that feels more and more like HOME everyday, in the very near future! ❤️

Our Beautycounter founder and CEO, Gregg Renfrew, is back to full ownership of the Beautycounter brand! We have decided to part ways with our private equity investor in order to keep full control of the brand in our hands.

In order to make this shift as seamless as possible, we have paused our website for a few days.
