The human brain is a fascinating conundrum. Part machine, part epicenter of emotions, your brain can solve a creative problem or a complex math equation, memorize a poem or pull up a distant memory simply by encountering a familiar smell. It can also decide to lay low for a while, go on the fritz, feed your anxieties, tell you lies, and keep you from experiencing the joy and fulfillment that makes life worthwhile.

If you’re having mental health or addiction challenges, please call us. Our mission is to offer a supportive environment where you can seek help confidently and discreetly. Whether you're dealing with addiction, day-to-day stress, or more complex mental health issues, OMC is here to help you see a better, brighter future.

We heard ALL your complaints about our phone system—terrible hold music, confusing interface, not enough options, purgatorial wait times. Good news! Next week, these indignities will be things of the past!

Along with better hold music, our new phone system will tell you where you are in the queue and even give you the opportunity to request a call when you're next in line.

Enjoy the music. Or go on about your day and let us get back to you!

Just one week until the Plant & Seed Swap!

We’re proud to have our very own provider, Dr. Vivian Rider, participating in this wonderful community event. She’ll be helping create mosaics for the new OMC community gardens—stop by and be part of it!

Bring seeds, plants, or just yourself to connect, learn, and get inspired alongside fellow garden lovers.

Just one week until the Plant & Seed Swap! Gather your seeds to share, plants that need dividing, and plant cuttings and bring them all to the library to share with the community. Learn about the new community gardens at OMC. Help Dr. Vivian Rider create mosaics for the community garden. Find out more about GrowOsceola. Talk with other plant lovers about what is working in their gardens and what has hasn't. If you aren't anxious to get into your garden, you will be after attending the Plant & Seed Swap!
(You do not have to bring something in order to take something - just bring something to share next year!)

Today, we wore teal to show our support for Counseling Awareness Month and to remind you that:

1. OMC's professional counselors are trained to help you navigate feelings of frustration, anxiety, and confusion.

2. Asking for help is the first step in addressing your mental health challenges—and like most first steps, it is usually the hardest and requires the most courage.

3. You are not alone. And we are here to help.

If you’re feeling persistently anxious, depressed, or overwhelmed, now is the time to reach out and get support. Things can get better!

Call our Mental Health Clinic at 715-294-1921—we’re here for you!

Sometimes it feels like there aren't enough colors in the rainbow to help bring awareness to all the important health issues and conditions! Be that as it may, we'll be doing our part tomorrow to bring awareness to fact that professional counselors exist to be helpful resources in times of frustration, anxiety, and confusion.

We want to de-stigmatize the act of asking for help.

This year the American Counseling Association is focusing on spotlighting mental health for children and adolescents, along with other information about how to effectively engage with professional counselors. For more information: https://bit.ly/counseling-awareness

If you're feeling persistently anxious, depressed, and/or exhausted by life ... please call our Mental Health Clinic at 715-294-1921. We're here for you!
