Dr. Riley Edling, a distinguished alumnus of Northwestern Health Sciences University, specializes in Chiropractic with a focus on sports and possesses a keen interest in functional neurology. Born in the quaint town of Osceola, Wisconsin, Dr. Edling was introduced to the world of chiropractic early, thanks to his father, Dr. Steven Edling, a renowned Chiropractic Sports Practitioner with over 30 years of experience, and his mother, a lawyer and administrator at the family clinic.

From a young age, Dr. Edling was deeply passionate about sports, particularly football, which he played for three years at Concordia University, St. Paul, earning a B.S. in Exercise Science. His athletic pursuits, however, came with their fair share of physical challenges, including concussions and whiplash injuries. It was through chiropractic care that Dr. Edling found significant relief, sparking his interest in pursuing a Doctorate of Chiropractic.

His collegiate and professional journey was not without hurdles. Dr. Edling faced symptoms stemming from past concussions, including brain fog, fatigue, digestive issues, and erratic heart rates. It was this personal health quest that led him to discover functional neurology. This multidisciplinary specialty offers advanced diagnostics and care for individuals with traumatic brain injuries (TBIs), vestibular and ocular dysfunctions, autonomic dysfunctions, and chronic migraine. The personalized care strategies in functional neurology aim to identify and treat dysfunctions in specific brain areas.

Despite the challenges, Dr. Edling continues to embrace his love for sports, now enjoying golf, with his well-being supported by ongoing chiropractic and functional neurology care. Dr. Edling's journey from patient to healthcare professional embodies a deep commitment to understanding and treating the complex interplay between physical activity and neurological health.

Covid not just respiratory.

Multiple chronic diseases have been linked to endotoxemia. It increases the risk of death in people with sepsis, ages you faster, and is commonly seen in patients with chronic symptoms.

Endotoxemia is a result of LPS (lipopolysaccharides), the byproducts of harmful bacteria, making their way into the bloodstream from the gut due to leaky gut. This is why an overabundance of unhealthy gut bacteria, or “dysbiosis,” is important to address—you don’t want those bacteria getting past the gut lining into the bloodstream.
