As many of you have likely seen (or are currently experiencing), the National Weather Service has now upgraded this storm to a blizzard, with 18–30 inches of snow expected between Saturday night and Monday afternoon across much of our area.

For the safety of our patients and staff, Green Medicine of Wisconsin will be closed for in-person visits on Monday, March 16. We will still be conducting scheduled appointments virtually.

At this time, it is likely that only two members of our team will be working remotely from home to support scheduled visits and essential communication.

If you call the office with questions, concerns, or supplement orders, please understand that responses may be delayed and we may not be able to return all messages until Tuesday, March 17, when we plan to resume normal in-office operations.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this very Wisconsin blizzard. Please stay warm, stay safe, and avoid unnecessary travel if possible.

Snowmageddon Update ❄️☃️🌬️

Mother Nature appears to be reminding us that it is still very much winter in Wisconsin. With forecasts calling for anywhere from 18–30 inches of snow between Saturday night and Monday afternoon, we have decided to keep both our patients and staff safely off the roads.

Green Medicine of Wisconsin will be operating virtually on Monday, March 16, 2026.

All appointments scheduled for Monday have been transitioned to virtual visits. You can plan to attend your appointment at your usual scheduled time unless our team contacts you with additional instructions.

While we love seeing everyone in person, digging cars out of three feet of snow and navigating snowbanks taller than the curb felt like a less-than-ideal start to the week.

At this time, we fully expect to reopen the clinic and resume normal in-office visits on Tuesday, March 17 once Wisconsin has finished demonstrating its winter endurance event.

Thank you for your flexibility and understanding. Stay warm, stay safe, and enjoy the snow (preferably from inside with a warm beverage).

Warmly,
Green Medicine of Wisconsin

Big news from Sawyer Street Hometown Pharmacy we now compound custom Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) capsules right here in house.

LDN has been a fantastic tool for its role in supporting patients with chronic pain, autoimmune conditions, inflammation, and more and we're proud to be a local expert to help guide therapy.

Our pharmacist JJ Allen is one of only a handful of LDN specialist pharmacists in the country, and our pharmacy is an official member of the
LDN Research Trust

Pictured is our pharmacy technician Leah also a nursing student preparing a custom batch of LDN capsules for a patient.

Curious if LDN might be right for you? Give us a call. We'd love to talk.

Welcome NP Jamie!

We've been keeping a secret and we are excited to share some wonderful news with you.

To help reduce wait times for onboarding and improve access to care, Jamie Lorrigan, DNP, APNP will soon begin seeing patients independently as a nurse practitioner here at Green Medicine of Wisconsin. Many of you already know Jamie as one of our longstanding and trusted nurses, and we are thrilled to now welcome her in this expanded role.

Jamie holds her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a specialization in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care. At the heart of her practice is the belief that care begins with listening. She brings a strong passion for health, wellness, and disease prevention, and values a holistic, whole-person approach to care.

Jamie is deeply committed to helping patients feel heard, understood, and supported. She works collaboratively with patients to develop thoughtful, personalized plans that align with their health goals and help them feel their best. Connecting with people, hearing their stories, and helping them return to living life on their own terms is what she finds most meaningful about her work.

Her background spans hospital, rehabilitation, and primary care settings, and her continued pursuit of advanced education reflects her dedication to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. She has been working directly with Evey training with anticipation of seeing her own patients with Green Medicine since Februray of 2025. She is also a member of ILADS.

Outside of the clinic, Jamie enjoys hiking with her husband Jim, spending time with their daughter, and their rescue dogs.

We’re confident that many of you will benefit from Jamie’s clinical expertise, compassion, and thoughtful approach. Our scheduling team will be reaching out as appropriate, and Jamie will be available for new patient onboarding appointments moving forward.

Once Jaime schedule is open we will send another email so keep an eye out!

Thank you, as always, for trusting us with your care. We’re grateful to continue growing our team so we can better serve you.

Warmly,

The Green Medicine of Wisconsin Team

Green Medicine of Wisconsin

Green Medicine of Wisconsin is a blend of integrative and traditional medicine. Our goal is to optimize your lifestyle, nutrition, exercise and sleep to promote the best possible health.

Green Medicine of Wisconsin believes in an individual one-on-one approach to medicine as there is no one size fits all. Each treatment approach is individually designed to address that person’s unique needs. Initial appointments are usually 2 hours long. Questions are encouraged and every effort is made to give you a complete understanding of your conditions and your treatment.

A strong emphasis is placed on a healthy lifestyle rather than just medication alone. We realize there are times when pharmaceuticals are needed but look for ways to minimize this. Our goal is to optimize your lifestyle, nutrition, exercise and sleep to promote the best possible health.

Green Medicine of Wisconsin has evolved from our collective experience of nearly 40 years in medicine. We strive to stay at the cutting edge of technology and are early adopters of promising new technology. The treatment of Lyme disease and associated infections is a large component of this practice.
