👱🏼‍♂️I’ve worked at hometown for almost 2 years

💊What is your favorite part of working at Sawyer Stree Hometown Pharmacy?
👱🏼‍♂️My favorite part about Hometown is the connections I’ve made with patients and my coworkers.

💊Why independent pharmacy?
👱🏼‍♂️I like the independent pharmacy because it allows for connections to be made with patients. I’m able to get to have conversations with patients and get to know them on a deeper level. In some other experiences of mine this doesn’t occur at the bigger pharmacies.

💊What do you like to do outside of work?
👱🏼‍♂️Outside of work I like to enjoy time with friends. I also play baseball and lift, which takes up most of my time.

💊What is your favorite part of working at Sawyer Street Hometown Pharmacy?
👩🏻I truly love my job and everything about it! If I had a favorite it would be getting to connect with patients and coworkers.

💊Why independent pharmacy?
👩🏻Most of all, I love being able to connect and build relationships with patients. I go to work every day excited knowing I might make someone’s day just by giving them that extra minute. I also love learning—I’m currently in nursing school, and the pharmacists and management here have helped support and grow my knowledge tremendously. Independent pharmacy has made all of this possible and has given me the chance to truly thrive.

💊What do you like to do outside of work?
👩🏻When I’m not studying for school, I enjoy golfing and hanging out with friends and family!

👩🏻I like to come to work, it’s like a second family here. We all get along and work together as a team and help each other out.

💊Why independent pharmacy?
👩🏻I’ve always liked working for small companies. I feel we are able to give better care for patients with a smaller business, which lets them know that we care and we are here to help them.

💊What do you like to do outside of work?
👩🏻Spending time with my husband and family is important to me; going camping, or to a game, or just hanging out. I also like to garden and watch my grandkids in sports and other events.

👩🏼There truly isn’t anything I DON’T like. I love my patients, coworkers, and sometimes even my boss.

💊Why independent pharmacy?
👩🏼I love being able to help my patients, chat with them, get to know them on a personal level. I appreciate the ability to go above and beyond for my patients; that’s generally not afforded to staff at big box retail.

💊What do you like to do outside of work?
👩🏼I have two young children, a husband, and a big ol’ dog that I enjoy playing with outside. I also enjoy watching my son race his bike. I like watching motocross and reading also.

👩🏼I love the environment at Sawyer Street Hometown, my coworkers, and our patients.

👩🏼 I’ve worked in independent pharmacy for my entire career as a pharmacist. We have the ability to get to know our patients on a more personal level and help them with the health concerns including prescription medications, nutriceuticals and many other tools to better their overall health.

💊 What do you like to do outside of work?
👩🏼 I enjoy traveling, downhill skiing, golfing, hiking, reading and spending time with my husband and 2 sons.

🙎🏻‍♂️I love getting outdoors and staying active with my wife and daughter. Lately, my daughter and I have been visiting a new playground each week. Menominee Park is our regular spot, but our current favorite is Riverside Park in Neenah. Next on the list is Appleton Memorial Park! We’re always open to more suggestions 🙂

A big thank you to the Oshkosh Seniors Center for hosting our presentation, “How to Save Money: Medications & Supplements.”

We’re especially grateful to everyone who attended and helped make it such an engaging and interactive discussion. Your thoughtful questions and personal stories brought the topic to life.

JJ Allen especially enjoyed the lengthy discussion around one of his favorite and most underutilized dietary supplements: creatine monohydrate.
