Wellness Wednesday

Maybe your body isn’t broken.
Maybe it’s exhausted from adapting for too long.

A lot of people feel frustrated with their body when they’re dealing with pain, tension, fatigue, headaches, digestive issues, or simply feeling stuck.

But what if your body isn’t fighting against you?
What if it’s been protecting you the best way it knows how?

The body is constantly adapting to stress:
• Physical stress
• Emotional stress
• Poor sleep
• Old injuries
• Repetitive movement
• Lack of movement
• Inflammation that never fully settles

Eventually those adaptations can become patterns.
Patterns of tension.
Patterns of guarding.
Patterns of pain.

That doesn’t mean your body is broken.

Sometimes it simply means the system has been stuck in protection mode for too long.

This is one of the reasons I love Fascial Counterstrain.
Instead of forcing the body to change, we listen first.

We work with the nervous system.
We work with the body’s protective patterns.
We help create a healthier internal ecosystem so the body can do what it was designed to do:
Heal.

Healing isn’t always loud or dramatic.

Sometimes it starts with:
• Sleeping better
• Taking a deeper breath
• Turning your head easier
• Feeling calmer
• Having less tension at the end of the day
• Feeling hopeful again

Small shifts matter.

Your body may not be failing you.
It may just be asking for a different conversation.

What’s one thing your body has been trying to tell you lately?

Client Win Today ❤️

This one hits a little closer to home.

As many of you know, my wife and I welcomed our baby girl about a month ago. The last few weeks haven’t been easy. She had been struggling with colic, gas, constipation, and just overall discomfort. Lots of fussiness. Lots of cry’s And honestly… as parents, it’s hard watching your little one be uncomfortable and not knowing exactly how to help.

My wife started adjusting her diet since she’s breastfeeding, and that definitely helped some. But our little girl still seemed tense, uncomfortable, constipated, and just not herself.

Last night I finally started poking around on her head and doing some work with her. Just listening to what her body was telling me.

Yes babies can have stuff going too.

A few hours later… she started pooping normally again. (Her normal I should add)Every few hours like clockwork. More relaxed. Happier. Sleeping better. Eating better.

And my wife looked at me and basically said:
“What the f**k, why didn’t you do that sooner?” 😂

Honestly? I don’t know.

Sometimes when it’s your own family, you overthink things. You second guess yourself. You hope it’ll just pass.

Now am I saying the work alone fixed everything? No. The dietary changes played a role too. Bodies are layered and complex. My role as always is to help facilitate one’s body natural ability. To heal.

But moments like this are a reminder of something I see every day.

Sometimes the body just needs help calming down, unwinding tension, getting rid of dysfunction and restoring better communication within the system.

Today we have a happy smiling baby.
A relieved mama.
And a very grateful dad. ❤️

Wellness Wednesday

Your lymphatic system doesn’t have a central pump like the heart. Instead, lymph moves through tiny vessel segments called lymphangions, which act like little pumps.

They’re helped by breathing, movement, muscle contraction, and gentle pressure changes. That moves through breathing, movement, and muscle contraction. There also has to be some sort of intrinsic pump mechanism for your lymphatics.

Which means if you’re sedentary, stressed, or shallow breathing all day. your lymph is basically sitting still.
And stagnant lymph means stagnant everything. Inflammation that won’t settle. Puffiness that won’t go away. Fatigue that doesn’t make sense. Pain that just lingers.

Here’s the good news. You can start moving it right now. Today. No equipment. No program. No gym.

Try this:
🫁 Deep breathing: 5 slow deep breaths, letting your chest and belly fully expand. Your diaphragm is one of the biggest drivers of lymph flow. Most of us never use it.

🚶 Walk for 10 minutes: Even a short walk contracts the muscles enough to push lymph through. Don’t overthink it. Just move.

💧 Drink water: Lymph is mostly water. If you’re dehydrated it thickens and slows down. Start there.
🦘 Bouncing : Gentle bouncing on your heels or a mini trampoline is one of the best things you can do for lymph flow. Even 2-3 minutes gets things moving.

🤲 Light skin brushing or self massage:
Gentle strokes toward the heart. You don’t need to press hard. The lymph vessels are just under the skin.

None of this is complicated. All of it works.
Pick one. Do it today. Then do it again tomorrow.

That’s how change actually happens.
Which one are you trying first? Drop it below. 👇

P.S. If your lymphatic system is truly stuck, it’s not going anywhere without specific releases. Sometimes the body needs more than the basics. That’s exactly what I’m here for.

Jaw pain. TMJ. Headaches that just won't let up.

I see this a lot. And honestly, most people that come in have already been through the ringer trying to figure it out. Night guard, dentist, PT, maybe a specialist or two. Things helped a little. But it never fully went away.

There's usually a reason for that.

The jaw isn't an island. It's connected to your upper neck, your skull bones, your lymphatic system, and cells deep in your spinal cord that control how pain signals get processed and cleared. When any part of that breaks down, (doesn't work as it should) the jaw is just where you feel it. It's not always where the problem lives.

That's the piece that gets missed a lot.

And hey, do you also deal with digestive issues? Bowel stuff that never quite made sense alongside everything else. That's not a coincidence. Clinically I see it pretty regularly. The same nervous system that's driving the jaw tension has a direct line to the gut. When that system is wound up, the gut knows about it too.

What I do is a little different. I'm not coming in with a set protocol assuming I already know what' wrong. I assess. I let your body show me what's actually going on and what it needs in what order, and why. The body guides the work. Not the other way around.

No two people are the same. That's kind of the whole point.

If you've been dealing with this stuff and feel like you've hit a wall. maybe it's just worth a conversation to see if there's something that hasn't been looked at yet.

I'm here either way. 🙏

Just a good reshare on the science behind FCS!

Since the publication of “Jones Strain and Counterstrain” in 1995, there have been few documented methodological advancements in Counterstrain. However, over the past 20 years, Strain and Counterstrain (SCS) has been systematically expanded from a primarily musculoskeletal technique to a novel, ...

Wellness Wednesday

I’ll be honest with you, I’m out here selling something too. But I believe in it with everything I have. I see what Fascial Counterstrain does for people every single day. So trust me when I say this next part isn’t a pitch.

People are still struggling with the same problems. More information available than ever before. More people in chronic pain than ever before. Something isn’t adding up.

I’ve been in the trenches with chronic pain for over 10 years. And I’ll tell you without hesitation, if you’re skipping the basics, nothing is going to stick. Not the fancy programs. Not the trending protocols.

Nothing.

Here’s the part nobody talks about. It’s not even just doing the basics. It’s showing up for them consistently. Every day. Even when it’s boring. Even when you don’t feel like it.

That’s the secret. And nobody wants to sell you that.

Effective doesn’t have to be complicated. It just has to be consistent.

Before you chase the next thing. Come back to the fundamentals:

💧 Water. 😴 Sleep. 🌿 Movement. ☀️ Sun. 🥦 Real food. 🤝 Connection. 🌊 Lymphatics.

Health is a journey, not a destination. And it will always take work.

What’s one basic you’ve been letting slide? Drop it below. 👇

Fascial grudges. That’s what I call them.
Your body holds onto trapped inflammation and won’t let go, until someone specifically decompresses it.

Watch this if you’ve been dealing with pain that keeps coming back no matter what you try.

Love this!

Now that the snow’s melted, I’ve been soaking up one of my favorite simple habits. Walking barefoot and reconnecting with the ground. Anyone else do this?

Reconnect with the Earth: The Power of Barefoot Earthing
In our fast-paced, tech-driven lives, it's easy to forget one simple truth: we’re part of nature. Earthing, or grounding, is the practice of walking barefoot on natural surfaces like grass, sand, or soil to reconnect with the Earth's energy. And yes—it’s as simple as taking your shoes off.
💡 Why go barefoot?
Scientific studies suggest that direct contact with the Earth can:
* Reduce inflammation
* Improve sleep
* Lower stress and cortisol levels
* Support immune function
* Enhance overall well-being
When your bare feet touch the ground, free electrons from the Earth’s surface flow into your body, acting as natural antioxidants. It’s a kind of natural reset—like plugging yourself back into the planet.
🌱 How to Start:
* Stand barefoot in your yard, a park, or at the beach
* Spend at least 10–30 minutes connected daily
* Avoid asphalt or synthetic surfaces—they don't conduct Earth’s energy well
It's free, it's simple, and it's incredibly grounding—literally and emotionally. So take a moment today to step outside, ditch your shoes, and feel the Earth beneath your feet.

Bonus - EMF gets booted out of your system with this practice too. From our WiFi connections, our phones, tablets, laptops, etc.

Holy Smokes it’s Friday and I have another post up!
I'm on a roll so far!

Anyways I'm genuinely curious about something. 🤔

Where in your body do you carry your stress?

For me it's always been my neck, shoulders, and weirdly enough my legs.
The second something stressful happens I can feel my body tensing up.

Here's something most people don't realize though: there's actual science behind this. Your sympathetic nervous system, AKA your body's "fight or flight" response creates real, measurable changes in fascial tension when you're under stress.
Stress isn't just in your head. It literally lives in your tissue.
Which means that neck and shoulder tightness you feel at the end of a hard week? That jaw you've been clenching? That stomach that's been in knots? and for some even tension in their legs like me.

Your body isn't being dramatic.
It's been keeping score.

where do you feel your stress in your body?

Drop your answer in the comments!
