IT'S DAY 3 OF OUR HOLIDAY COUNTDOWN!!! Here are some things to avoid when it comes to injuries in the winter.
Slips, Trips, and Falls ❄️
Ice and snow make walkways hazardous, leading to wrist fractures, ankle sprains, knee injuries, and hip injuries. Poor footwear and reduced daylight increase the risk.
Low Back Strain
Often caused by snow shoveling, lifting heavy objects, or sudden twisting in cold muscles. Improper lifting mechanics and fatigue play a big role.
Shoulder Injuries (Rotator Cuff Strain/Tendinitis)
Repetitive overhead motions like shoveling, scraping ice, or lifting can irritate the shoulder, especially when muscles are cold and stiff.
