Important Update 💚

Hi everyone,

I wanted to personally share some news with you. As many of you know, I had shoulder surgery yesterday. Unfortunately, during the procedure, they discovered more severe rotator cuff tears that hadn’t been visible on my MRI. They needed to be repaired, although that was not the original plan. Because of this, my recovery will be longer than expected.

While I had originally hoped to return in January, I now need to extend my time off and plan to reopen around April 2026.

This is truly the last thing I ever wanted to happen. I love what I do, and I miss being able to help and care for each of you through my work. That said, healing properly is the only way I’ll be able to return fully, give you the quality care you deserve, and maintain my career long term.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your patience, support, and understanding during this time. It means the world to me.

📅 Important Update

I’ll be having shoulder surgery on September 18, 2025, and will be blocking my schedule through the end of the year to focus on recovery. I’m hopeful to return before 2026 and will reopen some appointments if I’m able!

In the meantime, I’m looking to fill my summer schedule before I’m out—so if you’ve been thinking about booking, now’s a great time. I’d love to see you before my break!

🌀 Shoulder Injury Update 🌀

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a quick update about my shoulder.

After over 3 months of physical therapy with little improvement, MRI imaging has shown moderate tendinosis along with partial-thickness tearing in my supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendons—two key rotator cuff muscles. The tears are both interstitial (within the tendon itself) and along the outer edge near the bursal sac.

I also have a lateral downward sloping of the acromion, a bone shape that can lead to impingement, where the tendons get compressed with movement. This may be why I have been experiencing loud clicking and popping throughout my sessions.

I'll be seeing my orthopedic surgeon on July 2nd to discuss next steps and how best to move forward with treatment.

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to share a quick update. Yes, I’m still massaging! However, I’ve been dealing with a shoulder injury that’s been causing quite a bit of discomfort. My physical therapist suspects a torn labrum and possible rotator cuff tears. I’ll be seeing an orthopedic specialist in June for further evaluation.

In the meantime, I’m continuing to work, but you may notice fewer available appointments as I prioritize healing while trying to manage the pain. I truly appreciate your understanding and continued support during this time—it means so much!

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to attend the AMTA Wisconsin Chapter Continuing Education Conference, where I completed 24 hours of hands-on training with CoreStone, a company based out of Fargo, ND that specializes in heated massage tools designed to provide deeper pressure while protecting the therapists hands, thumbs, and wrists.

I’m excited to let you know that I’m now trained to incorporate CoreStone tools into my massage work! These stones and tools can be used heated or cooled and will allow me to offer a deeper, more therapeutic experience without the strain on my hands, ensuring I can work more effectively and comfortably for you.

That said, I’m still in the process of getting used to the tools and perfecting my techniques. I plan to practice some spot treatments and refine my skills over the next few weeks to ensure I’m delivering the best possible experience.

As I reflect on my journey owning my business as a massage therapist, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for all my amazing clients. Your trust and support mean the world to me!

Recently, as my kids have began another school year, I have noticed some imbalance in our schedules and find it important to be involved in more of their activities.

Starting November 4th, I’ll be making some changes to my schedule to prioritize family time and my kids’ extracurricular activities. This means I will no longer be offering night or weekend appointments. My new hours will be Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 9 AM, 11 AM, and 1 PM.

I appreciate your understanding and support as I navigate this transition. I’m excited to continue working together during these new hours!
