UW Oshkosh Alpha Lambda Delta We're not Greek, we're Geek! The UW Oshkosh Alpha Lambda Delta chapter began in 1966 and was active through 1987.

It was not until Fall 2009 that the chapter was reinstated.

This past Sunday some of our members took the opportunity to volunteer with a local dog shelter. We had an eventful afternoon of yard work, moving equipment, cleaning, and of course walking dogs! N.E.W. PAWSabilities cares for rescued and abused animals. We had a great experience and look forward to working with them in the future.

This past Sunday some of our members took the opportunity to volunteer with a local dog shelter. We had an eventful afternoon of yard work, moving equipment, cleaning, and of course walking dogs! Recently a few ALD members participated in the annual Oshkosh Shamrock Shuffle 5K run/walk. Despite the snow/sleet the event attracted over 2000 participants. Proceeds from the event went to Boys and Girls Club of Oshkosh.

Spring Break is approaching and we are all looking forward to getting back in to our beach body form. There is no better way to have a good time while working out than the Shamrock Shuffle. This 5k event takes place on Saturday March 9 at 10 AM. ALD will have a team in this event this year, and we would love to have you participate. This event is a run/walk around the river/campus area. The price of participation will be $10, and ALD will cover other registration costs. Not only does this discounted fee provide you with personal chip timing in the race, but includes food, music, a custom designed shirt, and smiles as well.

Due date for money and sign up is February 20th. PLEASE comment here or text Alec (608-432-1431) to drop off your money and registration. We will have an exec. board meeting on the 20th and I could accept it at that as well. That meeting will be in Reeve 216 at 7pm.

Alpha Lambda Delta worked with Golden Key on Friday, November 30th, 2012, to help the parents of Trinity Lutheran Church and School. Volunteers played with the children and supervised while the parents had the chance to do some Christmas shopping, have a date night, or be away from their children. The night was full of many laughs and smiles
