When both my kids were coughing, I tried something: I put cut onions next to their beds.

No claims. No guarantees.
Just a low-risk, low-cost intervention that might help.

By the next day, they were about 75–90% improved.

Is there strong scientific evidence that onions “pull illness out”?
No.

I’m always drawn to interventions that are:
– low risk
– accessible
– inexpensive
– and potentially beneficial

This isn’t medical advice.
It’s just real life, curiosity, and honoring what actually helped my kids rest and recover.

Have you ever tried this?

Welcome to your new role Jamie!!

Welcome NP Jamie!

We've been keeping a secret and we are excited to share some wonderful news with you.

To help reduce wait times for onboarding and improve access to care, Jamie Lorrigan, DNP, APNP will soon begin seeing patients independently as a nurse practitioner here at Green Medicine of Wisconsin. Many of you already know Jamie as one of our longstanding and trusted nurses, and we are thrilled to now welcome her in this expanded role.

Jamie holds her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a specialization in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care. At the heart of her practice is the belief that care begins with listening. She brings a strong passion for health, wellness, and disease prevention, and values a holistic, whole-person approach to care.

Jamie is deeply committed to helping patients feel heard, understood, and supported. She works collaboratively with patients to develop thoughtful, personalized plans that align with their health goals and help them feel their best. Connecting with people, hearing their stories, and helping them return to living life on their own terms is what she finds most meaningful about her work.

Her background spans hospital, rehabilitation, and primary care settings, and her continued pursuit of advanced education reflects her dedication to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. She has been working directly with Evey training with anticipation of seeing her own patients with Green Medicine since Februray of 2025. She is also a member of ILADS.

Outside of the clinic, Jamie enjoys hiking with her husband Jim, spending time with their daughter, and their rescue dogs.

We’re confident that many of you will benefit from Jamie’s clinical expertise, compassion, and thoughtful approach. Our scheduling team will be reaching out as appropriate, and Jamie will be available for new patient onboarding appointments moving forward.

Once Jaime schedule is open we will send another email so keep an eye out!

Thank you, as always, for trusting us with your care. We’re grateful to continue growing our team so we can better serve you.

Warmly,

The Green Medicine of Wisconsin Team

I put my Primally Pure deodorant through three very different sweat tests to see how it held up during different workouts. Clean deodorant is about matching the product to your real life sweat load and PPs charcoal has been one of my go tos for years!

Pilates Reformer — 9/10 overall
Odor control: 10/10
Longevity: 10/10
Moisture management: 8/10
Reapplication needed: No

Peloton — 9/10 overall
Odor control: 10/10
Longevity: 10/10
Moisture management: 8/10
Reapplication needed: No

Sauna Yoga — 4/10 overall
Odor control: 7/10
Longevity: 4/10
Moisture management: 4/10
Reapplication needed: Could have

Final@Verdict: for normal workouts and daily life, this is still one of my favorite clean deodorants, especially for sensitive skin.

Sauna yoga is an extreme sweat environment, so needing backup there was not surprising.

Married to a man who voluntarily showers outside in -35 windchill. Respect. Fear. Mild concern. All of the above.

PS this behavior is not advised unless you’re acclimated.

One day we’ll miss this version of life.
The chaos. The closeness. The now.
I needed this reminder 💛 😭 🥹

My daughter did this drawing a few weeks ago. When I asked her to tell me more about it she’s said it’s “more happiness.”

Calling for more happiness in 2026✨

2025 - This year changed me quietly.
Not through big wins, but through what I didn’t expect.

Learning to love what unfold. Especially when it disrupts the plan.

Amor fati as we welcome in 2026 ✨

IV light therapy is not one single treatment.
It’s a spectrum - literally.

Each wavelength used in Weber Endolaser therapy interacts with the body in a different way, sending specific signals to mitochondria, immune cells, the nervous system, circulation, and detox pathways.

🔴 Red light supports mitochondrial function, cellular energy, and tissue repair. This is foundational for healing, inflammation balance, and recovery.

☀️ Infrared light penetrates deepest, improving circulation, oxygen utilization, and deep cellular repair — especially helpful in pain, fatigue, and degenerative states.

🟢 Green light helps regulate the autonomic nervous system. This is often key for patients who are overstimulated, sensitive, anxious, or dealing with dysautonomia or poor stress tolerance.

🔵 Blue light provides antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory signaling. It’s commonly used in chronic infections and inflammatory conditions, supporting immune balance rather than simply “killing” pathogens.

🟡 Yellow light gently supports lymphatic flow and vascular circulation, which can improve detox tolerance, swelling, and fluid retention — especially when other therapies feel like too much.

⚡ UV light is the most potent wavelength. Used carefully and intentionally, it supports immune modulation and redox balance, particularly in complex chronic illness, post-viral syndromes, mold illness, and Lyme-related conditions.

This is why dose, sequencing, and personalization matter.
More is not better. The right light, at the right time, for the right person is what creates change.

Light is information.
When the body receives the right signals, it often remembers how to regulate, repair, and heal.

First week back after family leave hit a little harder than I expected. Some days I am so worn out — not for any dramatic reason, just the heaviness of transition, more responsibility, and the weird nights where I’m awake even when both kids are finally sleeping. (Why is that a thing?!)

But tonight I’m choosing to soak in the quiet. A few minutes in my sauna, time to breathe, to reset my nervous system, to remember that gratitude isn’t just for the big moments / it’s found in tiny slices of peace and presence.

Here’s to honoring rest, even when life is full and loud.
Here’s to restoring ourselves in the little ways that actually matter.

We breathe 17,000 L of air/day…

So winter — closed windows, heavy cooking, cozy fires — is when air quality matters most.

Jaspr’s Early Black Friday event is here: $400 off with code GMOFWI.
Last year they sold out for 2 months.

We use Jaspr for cleaner air, deeper sleep, less snoring, and better energy ✨
