At Azura, we are truly transforming the culture of memory care by knowing our residents and treating them as we would want to be treated. While we have taken great care in designing a home that creates an environment that bolsters our residents, we realize that the most important part isn’t how fancy the building is, but who is walking the floor. This is why we have created MOSAIC — an exclusive, research-based, and personally-tested training program for our team. The program encompasses over 90 hours of yearly training for each team member — helping them to weave every moment of care into a MOSAIC of love, engagement, and support for our residents. We recognize that the caregivers and the care that they provide is what is truly important. It’s not the walls or the amenities that will be approaching, communicating, and being with your loved one when you are not there. The caregivers will be. And they are the ones who can give the hugs! We were so lucky to welcome LAUNCH students from the Elmbrook School District (Brookfield Central & East) into our homes this fall.

From October through December, these incredible students spent Tuesdays and Wednesdays connecting with residents in both our Memory Care and Assisted Living homes—and their impact was felt immediately. They were some of the most outgoing, kind, and genuinely caring students we’ve had the pleasure of working with. They took the time to build real relationships, share laughs, and make sure every resident felt seen—including those who don’t always get visitors.

Beyond their time spent visiting, the students created meaningful impact projects for our residents and team members, including a positivity bulletin board and a special, student-designed spin on our Daily Chronicles—thoughtfully created to honor routines while adding a fun seasonal touch.

They were truly a joy to have in our homes, and we’re grateful that some plan to continue visiting even after the semester ends. Thank you for sharing your hearts with our residents—you made a difference!
