On behalf of Garden County Health Services, we would like to recognize K.C. Merrihew for achieving 20 years as a licensed and registered Paramedic. This is no small achievement and is evidence of a lifetime spent in service to others and dedication to this profession in many facets. K.C. served 20 years in the U.S. Navy completing multiple tours in Iraq as well as Japan as a combat medic and an instructor retiring from the Navy in 2019. He has served as a flight paramedic, combat medic, in management at a large EMS company and has served as our EMS manager at Garden County Health Services for the past several years. We are fortunate and grateful to have him on our staff and congratulate him on this achievement.

Recently we have had many inquiries on statements, texts and calls received regarding services that were provided 6 months or more ago. First off, we want to apologize for the confusion and inconvenience this has caused you and we are happy to assist you in the resolution of this issue.

This is a result of the backlogged claims from our separation from Regional West and changing billing systems on the first of this year. The notices you are receiving are likely legitimate and are not a scam. If you have questions, we encourage you to call our billing partners, TrueBridge, at the number listed on the statement at (855)-332-3228 or contact the hospital directly at (308)-772-3283 extension 223 (Jenny) and we will be happy to assist you with any questions.

Part of our consent forms that are signed with each new care encounter covers the delivery of billing and informational reminders through multiple modes of communication including phone calls, text messaging, standard mail and e-mail.

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and confusion that this has caused, and we will do all we can to correct the issue.
