Our 5th Annual Baby Fair is Saturday, April 11th from 9AM–12PM. The event is free and open to the public for moms-to-be and community members interested in pregnancy, fertility services, and family care.

Guests will have an opportunity to meet Mahaska Health Labor and Delivery Co-Medical Directors Dr. Taylar Swartz Summers and Dr. Garth Summers, as well as new Certified Midwives Katie Bowling and Scotlan Peterson. They will also have the opportunity to connect with pediatric specialist Dr. Holly Van de Voort, along with Family Medicine and OB physicians and members of the Maternity and Labor and Delivery care team.

Welcome Ronald Collins, MD, to Mahaska Health. Dr. Collins is a board-certified Hospitalist specializing in Internal Medicine at Mahaska Health and brings extensive experience in patient care and medical leadership.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Collins serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Iowa Army National Guard, holding senior medical leadership roles and providing trauma care and medical oversight during domestic and overseas deployments. He holds advanced certifications in trauma care, cardiac life support, disaster response, and combat casualty care. We are very grateful for his dedicated military service.

Born and raised in Iowa and growing up on a farm, Dr. Collins values community and service.
