Resilience is a vital psychological factor that contributes to the ability to overcome & adapt positively to challenging situations (Fletcher & Sarkar, 2012).

- Strong fixation with dirt or germs (OBSESSION)
- A needs to have things in a specific order (OBSESSION)

Do You Hold Yourself Accountable?🤝

It can be really hard to hold ourselves to our true potential.

Doing the things that make us uncomfortable is never easy.

Asking the hard-hitting questions can force things to get very real, very fast.

Often times, that’s just the thing we need.

Use this as a reminder to hold yourself accountable and to ask those hard-hitting questions every once in a while. Allow yourself to get uncomfortable, and don’t be afraid to reevaluate things if you need to.

Questions to ask yourself:
1. Am I seeing the results I want?
2. Is there an issue with the ex*****on?
3. Are there holes in my strategy?
4. Do my daily tasks align with my goals?

Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD) is a personality disorder, detailed by strict adherence to rules, need for control, and perfectionism.

OCPD is NOT the same as Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

🧠Some common signs of OCPD include:
- Strong adherence to rules in an inflexible, rigid way
- Perfectionism
- Inability to delegate tasks (unless others perform them exactly as asked)
- Lack of generosity; being extremely frugal without reason

⚡️It’s also important to note that because OCPD isn’t covered in the DSM-5-TR, it isn’t an official diagnosis.

⛽️Running Out Of Gas?

⏳As an athlete you dedicate a large chunk of your time to your sport. From practices, meetings, and team lifts, there are so many commitments that you have to honor.

But are you committed to your well-being? It can be hard to remember that we aren’t just athletes. That we have other things we care about besides competing at our sport.

Sometimes, a great way to refresh & destress is by learning something new and fun. There’s no time like the present to start a new hobby.

Having something to do outside of your sport can help prevent you from burning out & feeling like you do nothing but train & compete! Don’t forget to take the time to do the things you love!
