So a little hiccup 😅 after a silly move I made, I twisted and sprained my ankle. I'm thankful though because a soft tissue injury is something I can heal effectively with massage, movement and care.
I'm also thankful that this injury will not impact any therapeutic or swedish massage appointments. After my knee injury last year I learned how to provide great and effective massage while protecting a lower joint. Deep tissue, cupping & scraping as well as your Valentine's self care appointments are still on as planned!
The only thing is that Thai yoga massage will be on hold for two weeks. Feet are an important tool in Thai massage. While I'm using this as a learning opportunity and challenge to expand my skills, it's also incredibly important to me that I'm providing the best work I can offer. This two week break will give my ankle & foot time while I create a yoga massage flow that accommodates this injury.
I'm very grateful that my career makes flexibility and creativity the center of the work. I'm resilient and I love what I do 🧘🏻❤️
