Services we offer:
* Decompression Therapy
This revolutionary technology is ideal for herniated or bulging discs, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, sciatica and acute or chronic back pain. This Decompression System is NASA approved, and worked to reshape the spine using computer technology to apply traction to spots causing lower back pain. The traction provides a negative pressure that allows fluid, blood and nutrients into the affected discs that cause pain. In other words, as each challenge is introduced to the body, it supports muscles and ligament tissue to re-tone itself, re-educating the neuromuscular system and relieving pain.
* Electrical Stimulation
Electrical Stimulation uses electrical current at the site of the soft tissue injury. It can be used on muscles to block pain and promote relaxation. It's benefits include decreasing swelling and inflammation, muscle re-education and strengthening.
* Ultrasound
Ultrasound is a therapeutic procedure which uses high frequency sound waves to treat soft tissue injuries in the body. It works by dispersing sound waves through conductive gel into the body. The resulting deep heat effect, when applied directly to the involved area, causes increased temperature, increased blood flow and increased metabolism, thus speeding the natural healing process. Ultrasound can also assist in decreasing muscle spasm and nerve root irritation.
* Manual Therapy Techniques
Manual techniques are hands on therapeutic procedures designed to promote blood flow, relaxation and healing in areas of injury. Joint mobilization is included in this category to increase range of motion and promote more normal joint movement at a particular articulation site.
* Cervical Traction
Cervical Traction is a way of applying passive motion to the cervical spine to stretch the vertebral segments allowing more motion and relieving pressure on affected spinal nerves. This treatment can be performed in a supine or seated position allowing the patient to relax while allowing natural circulation to occur, helping to restore the normal elasticity and motion. This treatment is often utilized as a conservative form of care for patients with bulging or herniated discs.
* Power Plate
The Power Plate can be used in many phases of rehabilitation, such as movement preparation, stability and coordination, core and pillar strengthening as well as recovery and regeneration. You can achieve increased blood flow to passive and active structures in the movement preparation phase. With programs designed to improve strength you can achieve increased motor unit activation, increased firing rates, and synchronization as well as improved inter and intra-muscular coordination.
