Looking for Local #73 members that are interested in working 8 hrs on Saturday August 22nd. Pay will be at time and a half. It is Okay if you are currently working for another employer. This will be for just 1 day. Job is in Union Springs. Call the Hall if you are interested.

Two of the Local #73 cars will be sold at the end of the month. Both are 2014 Chevy Impala LT Limited's. Light gray has 135,000 miles, dark gray has 85,000 miles. Both well maintain and in good condition. We will be taking offers (auction style) until 7-27-2020. Pictures will be supplied on request. Direct any questions to the Union Hall (315)343-4037.

The Department of Labor is attempting to change the requirements for recognized apprenticeship programs. This change is being driven by the ABC and AGC. Industry Recognized Apprenticeship Programs (IRAP's) would have very limited oversight by the DOL. This measure will weaken the standards that the Building Trades have required for decades. Please take time to vist the websites listed to let the DOL know that training is more important than ever in the construction industry.

Community Service. A special thanks to retired members Charlie O'Connor and Jim Culeton for donating their time to help support the Oswego Little League.The first of two new scoreboards was installed last week. The existing scoreboard was relocated to another field. We would also like to recognize Electricians Local # 43 retiree Jack Pryor for updating and installing the wiring to both scoreboards. The city of Oswego provided the heavy lifting equipment operated by John Donahue.

The annual Local #73 Golf Tournament to benefit the Sick and Disabled fund will be held this Saturday June 15th at Battle Island. Registration will be from 7-8 with tee off at 8am. The format is the same as past years (2 man best ball). Entry is $65 per player and includes dinner and prizes following the tournament. The Central and Northern NY Building and Construction Trades Council has endorsed David Sterio for re-election as Oswego Town Highway Superintendent. Dave has made financial responsibilty and maintaining the roads to assure safe travel the priorities during his first term. Please support David on Primary Day June 25th.

With great sorrow we report the passing of Brother Bill Davies. Our condolences go out to his family. Calling hours are Saturday April 20th from 1 to 4 at Dowdle Funeral Home in Oswego. Members will be meeting at the Funeral home at 1:00.
