💙 A True Example of Empathy 💙

A grateful patient recently shared:

"I love this place. Words couldn’t describe how awesome they are. The receptionists are always patient, helpful, and kind. Dr. Newell is simply amazing. I haven’t met a more empathetic and kind doctor since I was a teenager! She actually cares about her patients and takes the time. If you want quality healthcare from people who truly care about you, this is the place."

Thank you, Dr. Newell, for embodying what it means to provide care that truly puts patients first.

💙 Going the Extra Mile 💙
When 11-year-old Adelena needed stitches, her mom feared a stressful visit. Thanks to Sandy Hargrave, RN, and the Fulton Urgent Care team, it became a moment of comfort and care.

Sandy wasn’t even assigned to Adelena that day—but she stepped in, told stories, kept her calm, and even gave her a hug and prizes after the procedure. That’s what We Care looks like in action!

👏 Amazing job, Sandy, and thank you to our entire Fulton Urgent Care team for making a big difference every day.

Winter is beautiful, but it can bring challenges. Here’s how to keep yourself healthy and injury-free:

✅ Dress in layers to stay warm and adjust as needed.
✅ Shovel smart—bend your knees, lift with your legs, and take breaks.
✅ Watch for ice—walk slowly and wear shoes with good traction.
✅ Stay hydrated & eat well—your body needs energy to stay warm.

At Oswego Health, We Care isn’t just our mantra — it’s who we are, inside and outside our clinical walls. 💙

This holiday season, our employees chose a few local charities to support, and one special pick was Oswego High School, where we proudly operate a school-based mental health and wellness clinic for students.

When one of our team members suggested we help stock the school’s snack pantry — a resource many students rely on for healthy fuel throughout the day — our staff didn’t hesitate. They rallied, donated, and delivered heaps of yummy, nutritious snacks! 🍎✨

We’re grateful for our caring team and proud to support the students we serve. Here’s to community, compassion, and keeping kids fueled for success! 🎒💙

🎁 Holiday Shopping for Kids? Safety Comes First!

Before you wrap those gifts, make sure they’re safe for little hands. Here are 5 timeless tips for choosing toys wisely:
✅ Check the label – Look for age recommendations and “nontoxic” materials.
🔇 Skip loud toys for infants and toddlers—they can harm hearing.
🧪 Save chemistry sets for kids 12 and up.
⚠️ Avoid choking hazards – Toys should be bigger than a child’s mouth.
🧸 Inspect stuffed animals – Remove loose ribbons or strings that could pose a risk.

A little extra care makes playtime fun AND safe!

Every year thousands of kids are hurt by toys. (1 min. read)
