🍂🍻 Back by Popular Demand! 🍻🍂

The residents of Bishop’s Commons had so much fun at our Fall Pub Crawl that they insisted we do it again — and honestly, who could blame them? It was a day full of laughter, dancing, and unforgettable memories. 🕺💃

And just because you’re in your 90s doesn’t mean you can’t shut down a pub crawl — age is just a number, and these legends proved it!

Huge thanks to our amazing stops:
🍀 The Irish Inn for opening early and kicking things off right!
🍔 Cheap Seats for the delicious lunch!
🎶 Gibby for the great music and bar shirts!
🍰 And Donna at Dutcher’s for the wild fun and sweet treats! (And life size Cowboy!!)

🎓✨ Yesterday AND today at Bishop’s Commons, our hearts are full as we host the Little Luke Preschool Graduation!

There’s nothing quite like the joy and pride in watching these little ones grow, beaming with excitement and ready to take their next big steps.

We’ve truly enjoyed being neighbors to these wonderful young children—hearing their giggles, watching their imaginations unfold, and feeling the warmth they bring each day to our campus!

To the families, teachers, and especially our amazing graduates—congratulations! You’ve grown, learned, and blossomed, and today we celebrate all that you’ve accomplished. The future is bright because of young hearts like yours. 💛

We’re incredibly grateful to the amazing team from Novelis who came out last week to help us kick off the spring and summer season in the best way possible — with a beautiful spring cleanup of our grounds! 🌷🌞

This marks the third year the Novelis team rolled up their sleeves and volunteered their time and energy to help us refresh and brighten up our outdoor spaces — and it shows.

Our residents are already enjoying the fresh air and the beauty of their surroundings, all thanks to your hard work and generous spirit.

Celebrating 25 Years of Community & Care at Bishops Commons! 🏡💛

This May, during Older Americans Month, we proudly celebrated 25 incredible years of service, support, and meaningful moments at Bishops Commons.

A heartfelt thank-you to Mayor Robert Corradino for joining us and presenting a special proclamation in honor of this milestone. Your recognition and continued support of our older adults made the day even more meaningful.

We also extend a very special thank-you to the family members who joined us to share stories and memories of their loved ones who once called Bishops Commons home. Your words were a beautiful reminder of the impact of compassion, connection, and community over the years.

The celebration was a touching tribute to the past 25 years — and a joyful look ahead to all that’s still to come.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Sonia Robinson, Senior Public Educator from the Oswego County Department of Health, for a very informative Lunch & Learn this past week! 🌞

Sonia shared her incredible knowledge on sunshine and UV safety—teaching us how to protect ourselves while still enjoying the beautiful weather. From sunscreen tips to staying hydrated, our residents (and staff!) learned so much.

We’re so grateful to Sonia for taking the time to be with us and for sharing such important, practical information in such a kind and engaging way. Thank you for helping us stay safe in the sun!
