Talk About Prescriptions Month raises awareness about the safe use of medications and the dangers of misuse. During the pandemic, rising stress and isolation led to increased prescription drug use, making education more important than ever as we are still seeing these trends now.

The three most commonly misused prescription drugs are:
💊 Opioids – Pain relievers that are highly addictive and can cause respiratory failure.
💤 CNS Depressants – Anxiety and sleep medications that can lead to dependence and are dangerous when mixed with alcohol or opioids.
⚡ Stimulants – ADHD medications that can raise heart rate and blood pressure, with overdose risks like stroke or cardiac arrest.

Prescription drugs are generally safe when taken as directed, but misuse can lead to serious health consequences. Awareness and education save lives.

Together, we can build safer, healthier communities through awareness and education, because prevention starts with being informed.
