I’ve been thinking a lot about commitment lately.
Over the past few months I made a commitment to strength train four times per week. At first it required dedication and intention. Now it’s simply part of my routine. A non-negotiable way I show up for myself.
That’s the power of consistency.
But I’ve also been reflecting on how important it is to move our bodies in different ways. Strength training, Pilates, and yoga all serve different purposes in the body. When we combine them, we create balance, resilience, and longevity.
And yoga… yoga matters.
Yes, it builds strength and mobility, but it also supports the nervous system, the breath, and the mind. If yoga has quietly slipped out of your routine, consider this your gentle reminder to invite it back.
And I get it… life is busy. There is a lot on all of our plates.
But we are part of the plate too.
Our health matters. When we take care of ourselves and show up for our own wellbeing, we’re able to show up more fully for the people and responsibilities that depend on us.
Momentum is built through small commitments repeated over time.
Just keep showing up.
