Let’s talk about fascia!!!
This is something I stand by 💯 ‼️
I use it in almost every session.
I feel everone needs it, thats why i will not charge extra for the specialty modality.
I am here for YOUR massage needs!
Myofascial Release (often abbreviated as MFR) is a gentle, hands-on massage therapy technique that targets the fascia—the thin, strong connective tissue that surrounds and supports your muscles, bones, nerves, and organs. Restrictions or tightness in the fascia can cause pain, reduced mobility, and tension throughout the body.
🔹 What It Is
• Fascia is like a web of connective tissue that runs throughout your body.
• When it becomes restricted from stress, injury, inflammation, or trauma, it can create knots, adhesions, and chronic tension.
• Myofascial release uses sustained, gentle pressure and stretching to release these restrictions.
🔹 How It Works
1. The therapist applies slow, steady pressure into areas of tight fascia.
2. This pressure allows the tissue to “melt” and release rather than resist.
3. The goal is to restore length, flexibility, and movement to the fascia, which in turn reduces pain and improves function.
Unlike deep tissue massage, which focuses directly on muscles, MFR works more subtly, following restrictions in the fascia and waiting for the body to respond naturally.
🔹 Benefits of Myofascial Release
• Pain relief from chronic conditions like headaches, fibromyalgia, back/neck pain, and TMJ disorder.
• Improved mobility and flexibility by releasing tight tissue.
• Better posture through balancing fascial restrictions that pull the body out of alignment.
• Enhanced circulation and lymphatic flow, reducing inflammation and swelling.
• Stress reduction by calming the nervous system and releasing stored tension.
• Support in healing from injury or surgery by breaking up scar tissue and adhesions.
👉 Think of it as “freeing up your body’s web” so everything moves more smoothly.
