Emily and I are pleased to introduce our new business, Niese Family Medicine! We started Niese Family Medicine as a way to provide our local friends and family a cheaper alternative to fulfill their medical needs. Some of the constant frustrations we have seen from working in our healthcare system are the ever-increasing costs and the fact that no healthcare facility can ever give patients a direc
t quote on how much their services will cost. This is mostly due all of the red tape and hoops we have to jump through in order to bill a claim through insurance. At Niese Family Medicine we decided to do away with the insurance headache and advertise our prices up-front which allows us to provide much cheaper rates. How does it work? We have a small fully furnished office we have built beside our home residence. We have all of the supplies necessary to safely and effectively see patients - a full exam table, wound care supplies, materials to do stitches, urinalysis supplies, etc. We also have the ability to send prescription medications to area pharmacies, order blood work, x-rays or other diagnostic imaging. We work in collaboration with a physician in order to make sure our office meets regulatory standards in order to provide our patients with the best care. FAQ:
1: Is this HIPAA compliant? Yes, all medical information collected is kept safe and secure through our charting system, and your medical information is not shared with anyone without your consent.
2: Is your facility handicap accessible? We do not currently have a wheelchair ramp but are working on getting one. Our office has 2 steps to get in, if you require assistance, please let me know before your appointment and we will do our best to accommodate.
3. How to pay? We accept cash, checks, Venmo or credit card (3% processing fee with credit cards)
4. Yes, we do have a dog. He may bark but he is friendly. If you are afraid of dogs or are allergic to dogs please let me know before your scheduled appointment.
5. What are your hours? Our hours will vary on a weekly basis. I still have a full-time job so I will need to schedule around that for now. Call, text or email me and we can figure something out. The general hours I will see patients is 6am-10pm. I can be flexible depending on your needs. If you are unable to come in to the office then telehealth appointments are available is that is more convenient for you!
6: Do you do walk-in appointments? No, we do not do walk-ins. This is to avoid too many people from coming up to the house when we are not home. Please call or email ahead of time to schedule.
7: Do you take insurance? No, we do not accept any insurance. Our services are paid for up front (no surprise bills!)
