We are beyond grateful! 🙏 Empowering Minds is proud to announce we received grant funding from Run Today for Tomorrow, Inc. to launch our Teen Support & Skills Group for 7th and 8th graders in our community.

This funding will allow us to offer FREE structured group programming focused on emotional regulation, coping skills, and mental health support — at no cost to families.

Mental health access shouldn't be a barrier. This grant helps make that a reality. 💙

Thank you Run Today for Tomorrow, Inc.w for investing in the next generation. We can't wait to get started!

Today, Run Today for Tomorrow, Inc. had the privilege of distributing $14,000 in grants to three incredible local mental health resources who are using these funds to directly impact members of our community. 💛

With this being the second round of our 2025 Grant Season, that brings our total community grants awarded to $28,000 this year alone!

✨ The Youth Service Bureau accepted $4,000 to continue their RUN Program, created through previous funding from our organization to help community members overcome financial barriers and access the mental health services they need.

✨ Arukah accepted $5,000 to support the launch of their Therapeutic Mentoring Initiative — a Big Brother/Big Sister-style program focused on building meaningful connections and positive experiences for youth. Funding will help provide workshops, milestone celebrations, rewards for positive growth, special outings, and opportunities many children may not otherwise have access to.

✨ Empowering Minds Counseling accepted $5,000 to launch free Teen Support & Skills Groups and Men’s Mental Health & Support Groups based directly on needs identified through our Community Wellness Needs Survey.

Every dollar raised through our events stays local and goes back into programs, services, and opportunities that support mental health and su***de prevention right here in our community.

If you would like to learn more about our organization, volunteer or donate you can find more information on our website runtodayfortomorrow.org

Thank you to everyone who supports our mission, attends our events, sponsors our organization, and believes in the importance of mental health awareness. Together, we are making a difference. ☀️

Uranus in Gemini + Full Moon in Scorpio

Before Gemini gets its turn, Uranus spent years in Ta**us shaking up money, supply chains, food systems, land, values, and our sense of stability. Ta**us wants security. Uranus brings disruption.

Now Uranus has moved into Gemini, and the revolution shifts from the material world into the mental one. Gemini rules communication, media, learning, language, technology, information, and the nervous system. Uranus brings sudden change, rebellion, innovation, individuality, and awakening. Together, this transit asks us to look closely at how we think, speak, learn, and process truth.

The last time Uranus moved through Gemini, the world saw World War II, the atomic bomb, propaganda, codebreaking, and the rise of television. Information changed reality.

This time, we are entering the age of AI, deepfakes, synthetic voices, and information overload. Words, images, and voices can now be created instantly. Reality is being remixed.

So the question becomes:
Are we mastering these tools, or are they mastering us?

And today’s Full Moon in Scorpio, arriving on Beltane, brings the emotional depth. Scorpio reveals what has been hidden, avoided, or denied. Beltane reminds us to return to fire, beauty, nature, and renewal.

Clean your space. Refresh your altar. Bring something from outside in. Ask yourself what truth you can no longer ignore.

The mind is being rewired.
The shadows are being revealed.
The fire is being lit.

Stay grounded. Stay awake. Stay honest.

✨We're excited to welcome Cameron to the Empowering Minds team!✨

Cameron is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy should be a space where you can truly be yourself - because that's where meaningful change begins.

With experience in trauma, PTSD, chronic illness, and life transitions, Cameron brings a calm, down-to-earth, and genuine approach to every session. He focuses on building real connections while helping clients better understand themselves and develop tools that actually work in everyday life.

Cameron is now accepting clients in our Streator location.
